Lately I've been getting a little tired of the constant "horrible, beyond horrible, you suck, you've no hope, that lot is terrible, better description please, worthless crap, ROFLMAO, etc." type of comments.  Notice that out of the 100,000 plus people here, only about 355 of them viewed Mr.Cinatit's rules on STEX comments.  If you're experienced with the BAT, then this doesn't apply to you.  What I can't stand is when people can't BAT to save their lives but act like they know so much about it.  It really burns me up!!  My question to all of you is: why must we be so critical?  Why say things in the comments section we would not DARE say to someone's face?  It helps them if you're critical, but lately it seems like some just like to jump on the bandwagon and flame people's uploads.  Obviously, if it's just pointless spam or a virus, the we should shut those nasty people up.  But to people who actually try; am I the only one to see people upload one time, then get horrible comments...and then the creator says he or she will try to do better?  Then, they never show up again?  If this ignorance keeps up, I'm likely to just leave this site and never come back.

Nothing personal but this issue has been around for a long time and nobody really cares who stays or leaves just look at BSC/CSX.

   Now the Moderators will tell you that your full of hot air and all is fine but the truth is the spoiled brats are destroying ST.

    I have brought up this same point but the Moderators have told me to shut up or else.If the adults don't take back control ST well the fat lady will sing her final song for ST.

The thing to do is not to let random people from the internet get to you.  If you (or anyone) enjoys making custom content, and being part of the community, then that's all that should matter.

It does happen, but there's not anything anyone can do about it, except for be good members themselves, and build good vibes in the community.

If that was the case, MrC wouldn't have put out those rules that Yoshiisland is mentioning that no one read.

All I'm going to say is that people have been saying that ST is doomed for years, yet it mysteriously doesn't happen.

Yoshi: I fully understand where you're coming from.  A great number of the people who do that are total idiots.  One of my suggestions to you is that if you are noticing such behavior on your uploads, delete their comments.  It's your upload, and you can keep and delete whatever comments you want.  If they complain about you deleting their comment, then rather than proceed to have an argument with them about it like some people have done, let one of us know.  People who go around posting inflammatory comments like you've mentioned can either shape up, or I'll personally be more than happy to show them the door.

this has been around for a long time, some of my friends even do it and when i confront them they say they're giving 'constructive critism', which is pretty much a wrong way to view it. rude behavior isn't only in the stex though, it's in the chat [anti-american rants], in city journals [remember copecopecope?], and in many other sections of the site.

we can only report it, and moderators can only delete the comment and tell the individual to stop, i've seen moderators in other sites harrass the person until they shut up, so i don't think we should start complaining about our very great moderators here.

i saw the harsh criticism you received on your latest upload and the only way to deal with it is to report it to a moderator and wait for it to be deleted, getting into an argument with the person won't do much and is not a very good idea =/ like jason said, don't let it get to you.

bluebeard: i'm pretty sure you have something personal against ST since you seem to complain about the site in every ST related thread. why do you still visit here many times if you hate it so much? strange...

Yoshiisland: just think about it, some these people who complain can't even make a decent pink box in Gmax. Just don't listen to them and keep BATting and you will become better eventually

Thanks a lot you guys, I'm feeling a whole lot better now! All I have to say is that acting like a total jerk is no way to give advice (just look at Simon Cowell lol ). I'm refusing to mention names because...well...these people know who they are. Since my BAT thread got very little feedback before I assumed that meant everything was fine, but people still had problems. For now I'll just ignore them and try to do better on my own for now. It's good to know I'm not the only one feeling this way. Thank you everyone!

yoshii-just like athletes have to deal with heckling, as a batter you will have to deal with criticism. you can either take it or ignore it, but by reacting and showing them how much it affects you, they will just keep contining. A good example, a while back, there was some guy who kept giving me poor ratings because he didn't like me as a person, (like "1 outta 10 because you criticise too much"), and instead of reacting i just ignored him and he shut the hell up and dissapeared.

I haven't seen much flaming on this site... If I had I probably would have left because it gets annoying after a while (after the hilarity that is ) but this forum is probably one of the best run that I have been a member of and if you're subject to flaming remember that taking offence to something is a personal choice.
