End all Sim game

What the Sim franchise needs to do is just release an all encompassing Sim MMORPG instead of all these semi-crappy semi-awesome games. Make a good bunch of the games playable in one setting in the online realm - for instance if I want to attack another player with "SimAnt" tactics I am free to do it. If I get sprayed thats my problem. If I want to focus on developing my own "Sims" home then thats fine to. Invest in "SimCity" buildings? No problem. Want to be a farmer? Go for it with the "SimFarm content." Wanna do something like in (insert your favorite Sim game) ? No problem go ahead and do it.

Possibilities are endless really.

So there we have it. Focus all the various "Sim" teams together and give the MMORPG public a HUGE content game that isnt a "swords and shields" crap fest. My 2 cents anyway.

a HUGE content game probably wouldnt be able to be fit effectively on one disk. And likely wouldnt have as high quality as it could.

Making an all-in-one Sim MMORPG sounds bad, in my opinion. EA tried the whole Sim MMORPG thing and it didn't work as well as expected.

However, I think The Sims 3 and SC5 will have some MMORPG aspects.

Just getting creative juices flowing 8)

Not sure why more than 1 disk is a problem (EQ2 took 9 disks to install - WoW took 4 or 5 If I remeber that far back). If a quality game is produced people will come. Heck even if its crap people will these days.

Monopoly is nothing like what im proposing unless farms and ants are running wild in Monopoly. Im no programmer but seems to me when a company or group says it cant be done practically - someone else does it the next year and Cha Ching.

Appreciate the response - and like I said just getting the thought out there to simmer.

... just sounds like an overly expensive Habbo Hotel...

If I can't kill, maim or Torture other Sims in the game it wouldn't really seem like much of an innovation...

I hate MMPORGS anyway... WoW stole my brothers life from him (he's not dead but he might as well be since he never leaves the computer)... but, if Rockstar made an MMPORG GTA game... then maybe i'd think about it...

Only problem I see is that there would still be a good chunk of the market unable to play. Not everyone has a high speed network, and dialup can be rather expensive in some cases.

Also, a lot of MMORPGs on the market are going over to the whole pay for this disk so we can charge you again just to play online. I feel that once I pay for a game, I should get to play it without paying an extra charge on top of that.

Besides that, an all in one game would probaby have horrible graphics, cost and arm and a leg, and probably take 6 DVDs to install....

Ever wanted to be master of your own capitalist empire? Now's your chance to strike it rich! You'll be funded $100 million dollars to begin a company, and then it's up to you to turn the initial investment into a billion dollar empire. Choose your business acquisitions wisely to build a diverse portfolio, from heavy industry to real estate to retail chains or even farming. Your empire will flourish through strategic negotiations with other players - and don't forget the golden rule of location, location, location.

Once you amass your fortune, earn prestige with your fellow entrepreneurs by contributing to the community such as building civic institutions, parks, or monuments. With enough prestige points, you can run for Mayor of your city or even President of the planet! With the ultimate success of your empire you can make your mark on history and really change the future. How you leave your legacy is entirely up to you!

Coming from the Industry, it aint gonna happen.

One of the first things we learn in the industry is DO NOT LISTEN TO REQUESTS. Because the consumer very often has no idea about technical/hardware/financial limitations.

    LMAO!

...EA already tried the whole MMPORG thing with The Sims Online, which crashed and burned when they turned it into "EA-Land" and shut it down. Then again before that it was as boring as pigeon crap, and you had to PAY for it.
