A little bit about the tower:
Construction of Sydney Tower Centrepoint began in late 1970 with the first 52 shops opening in 1972. The office component was completed in 1974 and the final stage of the complex, the Sydney Tower, was opened to the public in August 1981.

Ranked as one of the safest buildings in the world the design has made the tower capable of withstanding earthquakes and extreme wind conditions. 56 cables stabilise the tower, and if the strands of these cables were laid end to end, they would reach from Sydney to Alice Springs, or from Sydney to New Zealand.

The turret has a capacity of 960 persons, and contains two levels of restaurants, a coffee lounge, an Observation Deck, two
telecommunication transmission levels and three plant levels.

Three high speed double Deck Lifts take approximately 40 seconds to travel from top to bottom.

The 1504 stairs, constantly monitored by security, provide emergency exit from the tower. Divided into two fire-isolated sets of pressurised stairs, they allow patrons direct access to street level.

The 420 windows of the tower are cleaned by a semi-automatic window-cleaning machine, which recycles and filters 50 litres of water. This machine takes two days to clean all 420 windows.

A 162,000 litre water tank, the tower's primary damping system, one million dollars worth of fire protection equipment and countless sprinklers add to the safety standards which far exceed normal building requirements.

I don't think you'll be able to do that until the BAT comes out.  Personally, I think we have enough towers in the game...2 is more than enough.

I love Sydney, I want Sydney Tower. My Office is just 5 minutes walk from Sydney Tower. Btw, it is named as AMP Tower now.

I am at Kent St behind Townhall. I was kind of upset when they changed the name. I thought they should keep the name as Sydney Tower.

Anyway... Yes, I would like to show my support for Sydney Tower (It's kindof irritating having to use other towers to 'stand in' for it in my rendition of Sydney (which I have temporarily suspended building) for the moment...

 

Of course, I would like to see the Opera House.

If you're hosting them externally, fine, but please, PLEASE try to make those pics NOT THAT BIG!?! That pic makes it annoying to browse this page... you have to scroll over about a million miles (*slight exaggeration*)

to see the reply etc. buttons... It really is a pain...

Places in that area of Sydney usually go for nothing less than $1million AUD (about $700,000USD at present exchange rates).

My aunt lives in Neutral Bay  - probably within the boundaries of that large pic.

 

Of course, I haven't had the privilege of visiting her new place

She comes around here alot

 

Oh, and by the way, AMP Tower (aka Sydney Tower, Centrepoint Tower) is now actually 309m. They added a

pernanent extension to the spire on top when it was renamed AMP Tower - see www.skyscrapers.com .

Well guys! Ur dreams are about to come true. There's a AMP Tower up for download on Simcity central. But I'm posting it here for download for u guys sake! Hopefully I won't get banned for misusing! (Crosses fingers) Anyway I've credited the guy, SimNic, for the great BAT. Only thing is the nightlights. Only the building below the tower has the lights, the tower is just pitch black. Bummer...

The picture of the tower does look quite nice simpleplan, though IMO, a little ungainly .

On the sim city 4 website you can download the sydney tower in lot exchange. It is titled AMP tower.
