    Thanks, Jeroni. And SloppeT, too.

As for those signs, look here.

    Welcome to Celeron Mountain.
    celeronmountain0028au.jpg
    celeronmountain0010ns.jpg
    SUBURBS:
    1. Centrino Industrial Park
    2. Celeron Mountain
    3. Celeron Ridge
    4. Terra Oppenhelder
    5. Beneleux
    6. City Core
    7. Darmalan
    8. Eastwood
    9. Tualatin
    10. Greenacres

    celeronmountain0033xi.jpg
Centrino Industrial Park. It is 100% High Tech, and manufactures, you guessed it, computer components and software. This is the biggest industrial park in Dynasty, only just overtaking Genais' industrial park in size and jobs provided.

    celeronmountain0046ec.jpg
Tualatin. One of the most densely packed areas in Celeron Mountain. Tualatin is largely uninteresting... However, it is home to yuppies who want to live close to the City Core. It is low rent, and low maintenance.

    celeronmountain0057uu.jpg
The jewel in the crown of Celeron Mountain, Il Duomo, or Celeron Mountain Dome, is a cathedral with an unusual design. It is a popular place to get married, with 3 weddings a week, on average.

    celeronmountain0063fg.jpg
Celeron Mountain Foothills. The Celeron Mountain Convention Centre is located here, and development stretches around to the other side on the mountain.

    celeronmountain0071ht.jpg
Celeron Mountain City Core. Lotsa tall buildings. As you can see, many coorporations have made their home here, including Ursa Minor Beta Publishing, the home of the hugely sucessful book, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

    celeronmountain0088eb.jpg
University District. This area is actually part of Eastwood, but never mind about that. Celeron Mountain Uni actually specialises in computer software and design.

    celeronmountain0090bc.jpg
Darmalan. Just your average medium density development, with lotsa condos. Just south of University District.

    celeronmountain0103fl.jpg
Beneleux. The Beneleux Interchange is located just northwest of this small triangular suburb.

    celeronmountain0111ny.jpg
Celeron Ridge. This is one of the oldest high rise areas in the city. Celeron Ridge is the only section of the city that has high-rise development on the mountain itself. Waylander Interchange is located to the left of the suburb.

    celeronmountain0122hs.jpg
The other part of University District. This is Eastwood, home to Celeron Mountain's only wave pool. Eastwood Park is just south of the pool.

    celeronmountain0134zz.jpg
Terra Oppenhelder plays host to Celeron Mountain's very own championship-quality golf course. The addition of this golf course has meant that Dynasty can finally hold the Dynasty Golf Cup, whis has been in the planning for several years.

    celeronmountain0149jz.jpg
Lastly, a close up of Celeron Mountain Convention Centre. There are high-quality facilites here for you to use for your very own convention, whether it be Futurama, Star Wars or comic books.

    ---
Two updates in 2 days. Who'da thought that? I was in fact working on Highwind and Celeron Mountain simultaneously for the last 2 weeks, so that's why they've been released within 24 hours of each other.
    ---
edit: Could someone please tell me the bit of HTML code that allows images to be shown as 800*600... I'm going to go back, renovate those last two updates, replace them using the relevant HTML, with links to the original images, so you can see them properly.

Whoa!  Why didn't I catch this CJ sooner?!  I'm in love with it.  It's so scenic.  I also love the interesting mix of urban and rural.  Please keep it up.  Amazing work, Shadow_Assassin! 44.gif  BTW, I kind of liked White Ridge before it was destroyed...it had a small town charm to it.  Reminded me of many small towns here in the southeastern US.  You have a new regular visitor. 2.gif

lol, thanks wks2003x (gah, it's hard typing it correctly 3.gif), and glad you'll be paying regular visits here.

Experimenting with tons of different graphics. Aranda, then Tuggeranong, then Holt, then Titanium Grove, then Gemstone Valley, then Applegate, then tons more stuff!

Wow, is there anything bad I can say about this region... no, there's not.  SA, you do a great job encorporating hills and elevation into your city and the lakes are the best I've ever seen, you've defly given me some inspiration.  Your downtown is looking real nice.

Well, actually that castle on the 6th and last update on the first page looks kinda out of place, but I blame that mostly on MAxis for makinging it's base texture look so wierd.

Well the best of luck, I'll be following this thread now.

Thanks, everybody, and here's the next update.

    header2ob.jpg

    aranda0135fw.jpg
A regional overview of Arranda. It's the second largest regional area in Dynasty, at approximately 142,000 happy Sims. That's normal, considering it's right next to Celeron Mountain. Aranda also has its own CBD, with the Stretchnflick Rubber Band Manufacturing Company's headquarters here.

    aranda0059ko.jpg
We'll start with the north side. Beginning from the east, we've got the newest addition to Aranda. This area is close to jobs, has a traditional layout centered around a park and tower. This area is highly sought after. You can also see the recreation facilites, with trees everywhere.

    aranda0142iu.jpg
Moving along... Here we have the interchange linking the Eastern Highway with Tuggeranong Drive. (Tuggeranong is the next suburb over to the north) There is also a closer up view of the rec areas.

    aranda0015qd.jpg
Forgot something. This is in fact the southern portion of that new suburb. It's basically got a better view of the central park, and you can see how the streets have been made around it.

    aranda0068uf.jpg
Moving quickly to the west, this is Aranda Industrial Park. Despite Athlon Bend having Commercial right in that particular patch of land, commercial fat-cats still moved in. Though, it's been limited to medium density for obvious reasons. All of Aranda's HT and small pockets of manufacturing industry didn't like the area until two power plants were removed and replaced with solar. Stretchnflick owns quite a few buildings right up next to the interchange.

    aranda0034hr.jpg
Aranda's very own stadium. Stretchnflick Rubber Band Manufacturing own the rights to the stadium, and the famous Stretchnflick Cup is held here, and the cup is shaped like a rubberband ball, except in gold.
The two smaller stadiums have Pansyball

I love it, looks so realistic and green.  Kinda confusing how you linked that highway with Tugeranog(sp?) Drive but looks nice.  BTW, how do you take pictures with the sidebar minamized?

    Thanks, guys.

Darmok: Glad to see you got them working.
sharkbait: Minimise the sidebar, press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + S, that is the shortcut for the camera.

Without much ado, I present the next update...Athlon Canyon.
    athloncanyon0026ge.jpg
City overview. As you can see, there's lots of empty space up the north. (within the industrial park)

    athloncanyon0017gl.jpg
Remember Shady Acres? This is a popular (and cheap) destination for those young families that want to come here for holidays. A standard cabin rents out from $150 a night.

    athloncanyon0035pt.jpg
The dictator *cough* mayor's compound. This is where I basically live. It's nice.

    athloncanyon0043rw.jpg
The newest area of Athlon Canyon. Fun, fun. Though I am getting some *minor* abandonment problems with R$$ in this area.

    athloncanyon0056kw.jpg
Another suburban division. This is also where the Alabaster Mosque is located. People of all religions are welcome here, it's not just for Muslims.

    athloncanyon0068qx.jpg
Yet another suburban division. This is the oldest area of Athlon Canyon. Not much to describe here.

    athloncanyon0073zo.jpg
A small rowhome area. Not much to see here, apart from the Subterrenean mall here.

    athloncanyon0086if.jpg
Another suburban division. You can see a glimpse of the lower industrial park.

I love the Eastern Highway/Tuggeranong Drive interchange! Too cool. And the row houses look very realistic. Sometimes I don't like to use streets in some places of my subdivisions because they don't curve (I hope Maxis fixes this in SC5) but I guess you don't have any problems with that little quirk. Overall it's still an amazing job. Keep it up.

Hmm, I really should put a warning label on this CJ - there's more than 50 images on the first page. 3.gif

And thanks for the comments, there's not that many, but please try to comment!

And our next city is.... Tuggeranong!
    tuggeranong0045xj.jpg
City overview. Tuggeranong has approximately 29,000 happy Sims living here.
    tuggeranong0056ty.jpg
The industrial park, the southern section of which bleeds into Aranda.

    tuggeranong0029cu.jpg
The Tuggeranong Strip Mall. The Safeway is at the southern end. There are 42 speciality stores here, along with two larger department stores.

    tuggeranong0017cu.jpg
This here is Tuggeranong Interchange, where two roads meet...obviously.

    tuggeranong0035ti.jpg
Yet another housing development. This is the northernmost area of civilization in Dynasty alone.

    tuggeranong0079hk.jpg
The Triangle. This is a small park where people can hang out.

    tuggeranong0089ow.jpg
The core of Tuggeranong, it is the only section of medium density in the town.

    tuggeranong0060lh.jpg
This is where the bulk of the low density population of Tuggeranong is located. There is an irregularly shaped park located in a central section near the Triangle. This area is wedged in between the industrial park to the south, and the Triangle in the north.

    tuggeranong0099fo.jpg
Another suburban area, and you can see the two or three interchanges surrounding this town.

    tuggeranong0101xf.jpg
    Finally, another suburban picture.

As always, keep the comments coming in!

edit: The latest region view as of 3 June 05:

Well I love all the labels, and your interchange layouts are great. There are too many other things to comment on, but the overall layout and presentation is excellent. I can't think of any better place for my 600th post. 10.gif

Wow this CJ moves fast...but I'm still lovin' it.  The suburbs are very beautiful.  Tuggeranong looks like a great place for the average sim family to live.  Can't wait to see where the rich (and poor) sims live. 44.gif

    Thanks, everybody.

The rich sims live up north, and the poor sims live around Highwind in the R$ cluster of buildings. There aren't many poor Sims around except in the farming town and the occasional R$ building cluster scattered throughout Dynasty. The bulk of the population's R$$, btw.

    Thanks, guys. Another update.

    dynasty8083284im.jpg
    holt0142ce.jpg
An overview of Holt. As you can see, this is basically a bustling town centre and rich paradise. Holt is a test city in many ways, with its own ground rail line.

    holt0123ht.jpg
    holt0137yr.jpg
    holt0104ts.jpg
Some of the rich areas of Holt. Thanks to R$$$ pent-up demand, I have been able to develop here without abandonment, and as a result, re-stabilised the region's job balance.

    holt0114wh.jpg
Holt's Wildflower Garden. With its own trail parks and ground rail station (Wildflower Stn.). Also, this is where the GR maintenance shed is. This area is popular with tourists, and such. If you look in front of the RLS Vacation Centre, you can see Holt. Oppie's Beach Hotel is also found here.

    holt0099jp.jpg
    holt0089mv.jpg
Holt's industrial areas. This area takes garbage from Gemstone Valley, Tuggeranong and Athlon Canyon. Water is provided to Gemstone Valley as well, with an emergency back-up pump in case of failure.

    holt0079ha.jpg
Holt's Old Town. This is not part of Celeron Mountain's area, but is part of Gemstone Valley.

    holt0060zu.jpg
Centriole Park. This small park is where you'll basically find some peace from the busy lifestyle of Holt. This is a popular place for office workers.
[CUSTOM LOT - WILL NOT BE RELEASED BY ME]

    holt0051nx.jpg
Holt's very own Mormon temple up the top, next to Temple Station, and part of the Gemstone Valley section of Holt can be seen below the Temple. The light rail line runs down into the valley, for people to get on and off in the Old Town. Part of the northern T.C can be seen.

    holt0046rl.jpg
The southern part of the T.C, and some developments down below it.

    holt0034sa.jpg
Holt Golf Course. This is part of the Dynasty Cup's credited golf course list.

    holt0024pq.jpg
You can see part of the golf course. This is where Holt University is located.

    holt0015up.jpg
Some development spilling over from Athlon Canyon. You can see the middle part of the southern town centre, which sells everything from books to videos to adult porn to even black market stuff!

    Enjoy!
