Despite being a massive C&C fan... i'm not looking forward to this... its got a few interesting features but its not inticing.

If you read it you'll find their adding 'Walkers' in again... wich is ALREADY a continuity error right there, EA make up some stupid excuses in the original game explaining why there were so little in the way of Mech's... because tracks are better apparently.

Oh well... apart from new Sonic Boom tank things and something that looks like a hovering Anti-Air flak gun, the screen shots don't show much.

You be the judge anyway... forget my prejudice against EA 3.gif

I went to the link and I'm kind of disappointed in EA. When I heard they were making another C&C game, I thought it was going to be another game in our time, but everything is future. I dont think I would buy it.

I got excited at the prospect of another expansion (it's EA after all- milking it for all it's worth.) It's good they've focused it on Kane but I think unless the game designers really come up with a good plot and/or improve on character development (eg Kerrigan from StarCraft) it probably may not be worth considering.

Would rather like to continue the story line 25 or even 200 years in the future. How would the earth be like arun with Tiberium I wonder?

edit for grammatical errors and extended comment

After going crazy from RAIII syndrome, i'm acctually now looking forward to this... the Wiki article on it sounds quite interesting-

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kanes_wrath

Some of the story line takes place directly after the events in Tiberium Sun : Firestorm... and if the box is any hint of what to come, we'll be seeing the return of CABAL (WHOOOOOO!)-

CABAL, the sentient Nod AI that went rogue in the aftermath of the Second Tiberium war, will make its return in Kane's Wrath, as stated in the fifth episode of BattleCast Primetimequote>

This baby ships out on the 24th of March 9.gif

Huh? What? C&C was always set in the future before Generals came along and ruined everything. I wouldn't even count Generals as a C&C game.

well, c&c was not always set in a future... (c&c red aleart took place in our time, but a different timeline)

well... If I had the pc necessary for this, I'd knew what I were about to buy march 24th...

Acctually, Red Alert was set in the 1950's and Red Alert 2 was set in the 60's/70's... Generals was more in our time, it certainly showed... I liked Generals but I wouldn't say it was true C&C.

RA3 is going to be set in the early 2020's I think... so its another one to add to the future pile...

I got this game today and... well, i'm not impressed. The gameplay is sluggish and boring just like normal C&C3 and they've hardly added anything new.

Theres new Campaign which is all about the rise of Kane after the second Tib war. Sounds tasty, but in practice, nothing much has changed... you hardly ever get to use new units since their all end-game weapons, except for the different basic infantry. In all theres about  36 new units... sounds good? Not really... theres 6 new sub factions so you never get to put ALL of Nod's, or GDI, or Scrins weaponary to the test all at once, and theres about 6 weapons to a Subfaction which, when you boil it down really isn't that much. There are also some Superheavy vengance type weapons but they play like any other unit, although, It probably is the most fun part of the game but you need to live though of the monotony of a Skirmish to get them in the first place. My final straw however is that they've not replaced the Explosion animation for the Nuclear missile, the explosion is so bad it puts me off Nod completely.

All in all, this isn't an expansion of much, just NOD's history. Things like this kind of wane my hopes that C&C Red Alert 3 is going to be an acceptable and fun game since its the same people doing it. I hope EA realise that the sales of this game will be a false indication of its 'success'... most people (like me) will buy it for the RA3 beta key...

    6/10

Bah, sounds like there's not a lot of reason to blow my money on this expansion. Thank you El guinea pig. 3.gif

lol... I guess your not going to fall into the RA3 beta trap then? Who can resist the call of the Beta?!

Tbh, I bet the beta isn't even going to be worth it 45.gif

Well I've been contemplating whether to get this or not. Unfortunately I'll have to pay money to redownload C&C 3 (I stupidly used EA link, assuming it was vaguely like steam, no such luck however).

Heh. Treads over walkers any day. Mammoth mk-II? Are you kidding me? It's trying to look like something it's not, like it's pretending to be a Zoid or something. Sorry, Tib Sun just didn't work out for me.

When they brought out CNC3, I was pleased to see the mammoth tank as it was supposed to look (that unit has the coolest voice-over in the game, IMHO)... and now they're bringing back those mecha stuff again, wolverines and all? Oh no no no.

My final straw however is that they've not replaced the Explosion animation for the Nuclear missile, the explosion is so bad it puts me off Nod completely.quote>

You too eh? Generals had better effects for the nuke and it came before CNC3.

Yeah, the Titans are now stumpy versions of their former selves (probably to increase speed), i've been busy the past few days and not had a chance to play a Skirmish with the Steel Talon sub-faction but I'm guessing that the Titan replaces the Predator.

As for the best voice... the Redeemer has a pretty similar voice to the Avatar but It reminds me alot of the Cyborg Commando from Tib Sun... when you click him he roars 'Care for a demonstration?!', I laughed abit and then killed everything on the map. Its a nice feeling... and I agree, Generals Nuke probably even beats World in Conflict's.

Don't get me wrong. Back then, I was sure to buy CnC 3 because Jennifer Morrison as Lt. Circe James and Josh Holloway as Ajay were in the story. Didn't see much action in the characters, they just talk. Even Ajay. Probably his best screentime was when the scrin landed at his backyard. They're always at their tents or safe in their command center and some of the best clips in the campaign keep repeating themselves. Seeing the ion cannon blow up Kane's Temple for the third time in the scrin campaign got draggy. I wasn't able to finish the scrin campaign. And they said that past cnc releases had low quality cinematics. I think cnc and cnc2 had great cinematics cause they showed what was happening in the battle field.

So when I heard that Kane's Wrath was after Tiberian Sun, I instantly thought that Jennifer Morrison and Josh Holloway weren't in this. I also thought of the cinematics. If I'm just gonna see people just talking instead of action, then I think this is going to be a boring game. And yes, I was glad for the return of tanks in CnC 3. The return of so many walkers is just out of this world that I think they are just way ahead of our time. With the subfactions and everything, kind'a reminds me of Generals ZH.

There's so much cool games to buy now and in the future such as COD4, WIC and its expansion and CXL (This is my game list) that, sadly, I don't think I have room for Kane's Wrath or RA3 (Only have 60 GB hard disk but I haven't yet uninstalled CnC 3). If it's okay, I'll just watch both storylines on youtube if there is 4.gif.
