Fire Plane never lands

I had a fire at my Army base which has no road connection (it's just there for the profit) so I dispatched my fire plane.  The fire eventualy went out but I guess no one told the pilot that because about 50 years later, he is still going at it!  It isn't a problem just annoying to see that ugly and overly fast plane bouncing around building and dropping water on my base.  I demolished the landing strip and it glitched up a bit but the plane went away.  Does anyone know how to prevent this from happening again?

I've seen this before, and usually the plane will land for me...*sigh*...eventually. Yes, it's quite annoying, especially since the fire plane actually takes more time than it should. From experience, I think the best thing to do is to exit and re-enter the city and the plane should be grounded again. I hope this helps, and welcome to ST!

Ah... the Fireplane... god I hate it, its only really good for one thing; its Area Coverage.

That said... you rarely need to build/use it if you have more than a select few of Fire station plugins.

My advice simply... never use it... because it sucks.

that's very wierd i would say try u-drive it to take the controls to land it,if it works.

Thats why, even in small county towns or big urban metropolises, I always use the fire stations, the small and the big one. I never use the fire plane.

The only time i use the fire plane is if my trees catch on fire.

The only way I have got it to land is bulldoze the landing strip, and plop it again.

My game saves the fireplane no matter what, when the funding got out of hand, i bulldosed the strip, and the plane is still flying around bumping into all of my skyscrapers. Thankfully, it's fast enough that i can hardly see it. Strangely, i can't pop into UDI, now that the strip is gone. Whatever.

I dont use it any more because as El Burro said, it sucks

I had to enter UDI and land it manually every time :-(

the fire plane is stupid, but strangely i never have fires. i had this problem cuz i dispatched the plane for fun (lol im sad) and it got stuck. just place lots and lots of fire stations and they can deal with it.
