Wait now. Can you please re-phrase that?

Do I owe the city Two, Fourty point grants, OR, Dose the city owe me Two, Fourty Point Grants?

City Name: Gretna

and in the future i plan on making some progress

ive been thinking of building the first Indoor Community Center/Civic Center or the Nienaber Center. 2.gif

https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=11745

Or a Mcdonalds just north of downtown.

https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/index.cfm?id=11053

A Best Buy also north of Downtown.

https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=12562&v=1

Or the first Elivated Rail. if that wouldent be to destructive to the rest of the city.

Or a Hotel somewhere near the coast. im not shure what one but, ill find one.

ALL in theory of course. These are my plans. But there not final, at all.

and all of course when i start earning some money 9.gif

if you think the city neads one of these, or if any one of them is a good idea.  just say so

and every one else, please dont take these ideas

okay Would that give me a total of 133 points?

if so, i want the points that dont go into creating Gretna be advanced to payoff Shan tower.

and as my next development i thing im going to first build a Hotel, By Somy or maby Bixle. one of thos two. Ill give you the info as soon as i know how much points i have.

    that would be great!

EDIT: a while back you had a car chase. and you had two cars under your Command. HOW did you do that?

Even though I have yet to actually participate in this (and thanks for your explanation), I enjoy lurking and seeing your developments. In particular, I really enjoyed looking at your regional road map.

Almighty Nienaber - Yup, 133 Points and whatever is left I'll use on your tower... As for the car chase, It was alittle critical as it never REALLY happened. I entered UDI for the Old Yellow Car and took photo's of its position and the road as I drove it through the scenes I wanted to capture... THEN I exited UDI and entered the UDI for the Bug car and took photos of its relationship to the road, remembering each spot that I took photos at with the Yellow Car and positioning it just slightly behind those positions... Exited SC4, opened those photo's in paint, used the Yellow Car's position as the "Master Image" and used paint to "cut" the Bug and its portion of the road and "paste" it onto the "Master Image" just behind the yellow car... Extremely difficult to tell that those are edited images eh? I plan to make an actual car chase video in the future involving mutliple cars but believe me when I say that it WON'T be easy... At 30 frames per second, a 3 minute car chase would call me to edit 5,400 images... thats if I can find something that can capture images that fast (I believe the SC4 Recorder can do it)... then I have to add the chasing car to each image in reference to what it was at the last image... a project like that would cost months... maybe more... In relation, the previous update you just witnessed was roughly 75 images and took me about 2 days to compile accurately at which rate if that remained the constant (I could probably do alot more than 75 cut and paste images in one day)...It would take me 144 days to complete...

AceofSpades - We'll soon see... my next college break I'm going to set up an Easy monitor system in which you can view your developments process on the website instead of me posting it here... It'll just contain something between 3 to 5 images can be updated and uploaded weekly with ease...

dfnva - Thanks, I'll be waiting for your requests...

Benedict - Cool give me a map of where you want the stations... Also include whether or not they'll have parking or if you'd like me to decide... and also would you like the Oconee Express railway to be purple in color aswell?

Shingure - Very much so... Stand by as Highway 2 is about to change and be upgraded into a Divided Highway... you may experience more traffic. Highway 2 is also about to become Highway 25 ... There will likely be an interchange nearby... but good job...

    ___________________________

I just want to say it might be a moment before the next update - I havn't forgotten anyone's requests but I have a project I need to give some attention to over this weekend. I MIGHT beable to squeeze some time in but I can gauruntee nothing...

    jacqulina - Thank you!

    vivydu29 - Thank you!

Benedict - Thanks, made the map to assist you... ...As for the grids, yes... Those Parcels (8,9 and a few others) havn't been uploaded yet. Just the html coding and the parcel photo but not the grid shots. How far were you looking to extend service? It might be to your advantage to go out to Lantia and work your way back. MPTC was supposed to get those Parcel shots to me but he's been involved in a car accident and by now I really don't expect him to anyway. I'll likely get the parcels and grids uploaded and fully updated after I upgrade the E/W Connector to MIS that way I won't have to do it twice....

Btw what program were you using to put those images together?

Ah, thanks for that explanation. I'll have to look out west 2.gif

I put images together with Photoshop.

Here's the SSIR Ltd 'working document' for its rail lines & proposals.

Benedict - Wow, thats very nice!... The SSRL will definately be decreasing traffic along the E/W Connector and Hwy 304... I'm waiting to see if anyone is going to extend bus service sprawling from the stations to maximize their efficiency... I'd personally be quite tempted to take the train instead of drive if I lived close to the city... Down toward Lantia, when I modify the E/W Connector, I might set up a park&ride exit off the freeway if you're interested... We have a few of those in Atlanta. Also I have another question. You were able to merge those grid photo's with Photoshop. Currently I use GIMP and Paint and I'm not real good with GIMP at all... ...Do you think it would be possible to make one large cityscape map with the grid photos I have on the website - as in the entire region? (provided we patch up the black areas) with Gimp or Photoshop?

I think it would be possible, it would just be a huge file in the end, which may impose limits on your computer - just take a long time to put together.

Bonus map of the rail system as I foresee it operating after the extension opens...

is there anyway that I can get a train station that is close to tuckaway. I'm thinking of expanding the city of Tuckaway and I bet it would be nice for the people living in tuckaway to have a rail station close by.

I am looking at providing stations in Lantia/Tuckaway.

I would also like a station here in Linaton:

As an alternative, and with parking, I'll build something on the other side of the road. If I can afford the track all the way from my station @ The Links I'll take that too.

lilmanjs - The SSRL doesn't exactly go directly through Tuckaway as it does Lantia but there is a spot where you can run a road South of Tuckaway to meet a empty segment of the South Shore Railway... Otherwise you'd have to extend Tuckaway Northward to the Plains Extension Railway...

Benedict - Not bad... Okay... i'll get that to you asap... And yes most of that land has been developed. I need to update cityscape badly...

Almighty Nienaber - For your question, up until tonight, I had no idea that was the correct way of spelling it... >.> ... Only two minor issues with that development...

#1 - The residential community is a combination of subdivisions and we can't allow commercial development within them unless you're willing to purchase the entire subdivision and rebiuld it into something more suitable for commercial development...

#2 - It's going to cause traffic problems in the future because the subdivision streets will find themselves overcrowded with stray commuters trying to access the rail stop.. ...Plan Ahead before you plan 2.gif.... The rail stop needs to be accessable by a road or higher method of transportation (unless it's just a side street directly connecting to a road within 8 tiles of the station)  That development needs a thru road for better accessability otherwise the subdivision will no longer be a subdivision but a city in itself filled with confusing streets...
