lilmanjs - I'll need you to be a bit more specific on your development request... I need to know how many tiles of residential you're willing to place... As for the Industrial, once again I'll atleast need to know how many tiles you're willing to place... But I will get you some closer photo's of Hwy 202 in the next update...

    CTF - Okay

     LinatonExpansion.jpg

Choose a grid and we'll go from there...

Amerikaner - Okay, I'll post those next update...

    MPTC - request noted...

e350tb - Your request and deed will be posted in the next update!

Well, rather than the Lantia Parkway proposal, I am considering putting my points into the 202 tollway proposal.  Here is my modification to the plan:

    2atollea1.jpg

Notice the 2A tollway: it is essentially an extension of 202.  The yellow area around exit 8 would be reconfigured to allow for the 2A toll road to head northeast.  I would like to inquire on the cost of 202/2A from exit 6 to exit 9 (I know I won't have enough... but I want to put my points in the pool).  I would also like to see screenshots of the area northeast of this picture, where the 2A tollway is planned to continue past this screenshot's limits.

Edit:  Tolls would be all-electronic, where drivers either use a tag or they get their toll in the mail based on license plate information.

Say, are air purifiers very realistic? How tightly do we need to stick to plausibility? I say as much as possible, so maybe trees are the way to go, combined with less dirty industry. I'm thinkin' this is a good time to plug for the Schop Institute, which would help make that area nicer and less polluted, and which is...

...Looking for three (count 'em, three) more directors!

Anyone's welcome. If we don't have 7 total by Monday, we commence with spending points with however many we have. Sounds thrilling, doesn't it. 4.gif

Well, I guess that I'd like to become a partner in Tuckaway Transportation Systems.  And, Need4Camaro, I feel that some of the exits could be eliminated on the 202 Tollway project, as they seem too closely spaced.  I was thinking that exits 2, 4, 5, and 7 could be removed from the plan, to make traffic flow better and to prevent redundancy in access points (as some of the exits would be accessing the same things as other exits could, as well).

Thanks for the points N4C, you may proceed with the building. Also, do not forget my company's name, Union 93 Propaganda Department.

N4C and CTF: I have PMed CTF, allowing him to proceed with building a pump and water network for Linaton. Thanks, CTF.

lilmanjs - Very well, I biult your development, your quote and deed will be posted in this update... I am also curious, how much is the Tuckaway Transportation System willing to donate upon the upgrade of Highway 202.

Houston_Fan - Very nice signs... I'll tell you what, if you make a standard route marker for Newarks roads. I'll biuld your tollway portion frm from Exit 6 to 9 in the next mini update, free of charge...  Your screenshots however are coming right up... As for your inquire to remove some Exits... Exit 2 is Highway 2 and by default of being a spur from Highway 2, the exit must remain, Exit 3 can be removed, Exit 4 is Highway 6 and must remain for two reasons... 1 the road is overcrowded and in desperate need of an alternative route, and 2 it's a state route... Exit 5 and 7 can be removed... By the way, what standards will this tollroad be biult upon? Rural Highway? Ground/Elevated Highway? How many tiles for the median if Rural Highway? Would you like to add additional Highway Tower Lights to any of your interchanges? You are now apart of the Tuckaway Transportation System

suplado! - Thanks for the compliment and suggestion, unfortunately I cannot add an air purifier as they don't exist in real life other than for indoor purposes... It would take away from the realism. The pollution issue will be addressed soon enough however. You have been added to the CJ Points System and will begin with 30 Points...

    ANNOUNCEMENT:

Alright, I am still in process of compiling the files necessary for the Blue Hope Website, I expect it to be fully functional by Mid October...

Newark is sustaining heavy development around the region and I feel a website will GREATLY help us to beable to continue the project as of course, you all know the more requests I recieve, the longer it takes me to post... The website will constantly maintain up to date statistics of Newark, Including but not limited to regional Population, RCI including the desire for wealth values, Land Values, Aura and Parks,  Fire coverage, Hospital Coverage, School Systems, Traffic, Police Coverage, Water, Power, and Garbage. The Website will include a Map of Newark that will be updated Monthly and also larger regional view of Newark to get closeups on the city and your personal developments. The website will also include a showcase section designed specially for our members creations in which everyone can view your creation, or development in Newark. I will also include an Regional Map listing the Parcels, and Grids, you will from there beable to select the grid from the website... Thus when this feature is complete and operational, unless there's a technical issue someone would like to discuss, I will NOT respond to requests regarding seeing a certain Parcel or Grid or area as it will ALL be on the website and I will keep it up to date as development continues... When you find an area you desire, you will copy the photo and design your area and post it back on the board... Meaning your DEVELOPMENT requests from here on will only be one post, your design plan, and I will complete it, post it here, and update the website. This will reduce the number of random requests I'll have to answer here. When this finally occurs, Everyone will begin recieving 3 Points per Post instead of 1 due to the reduced forum activity I expect to incur... I will of course still answer requests, post pictures, post storymode, and even showcases on the forum. It just helps organize things... ALOT... Oh and yes, the website WILL feature a cityscape view of the region. The first version will involve you saving a large image of the entire region to your computer and using your Windows software to "PREVIEW" the image and you will beable to see the region as a whole... There will be two versions available, One at the 3rd Zoom level, and one at the 5th Zoom level... If I ever learn Javascripting to load only the parts of at a time then I might make a browser version, but I've already compiled 6 Parcels and even M.S Paint is having a difficult time chucking the tremendous image... Preview still does it just fine and easy however...

Now on to the Mini Update...

First thing, lets have a look at whats going on around Newark!

    TalliupCorner.jpg

Talliup Corner is flourishing due to the recent radical expansion of the Power Grid thanks once again to YoshiiIsland... Check out the new lofts biult at the end of the Talliup Way...

When we head out west, we find a grand bulk of eternal development...

    TuckawayExpansion4.jpg

Tuckaway's downtown district has developed into a wealthy commerce center of trade and business while resisdents biuld mansions in the sky rocketing land values. It appears now we also have an expansion of Residents southward of the prior alaignment of Tuckaway...

    TuckawayExpansion1.jpg

And just west of Tuckaway exists a new industrial district in preparing of construction. Its alaignment with the freeway will serve its purpose very well...

Congratulations lilmanjs... Here is your quote and deed...

CTF - Yes, and for the recap, how much was lilmanjs's and ObladiOblada paying you for water per month? Also for the pump in Linaton, I'll need to warn you about biulding pumps near farms... Farms tend to be heavy water polluters and they can clog your pump and well... you would have wasted points... If you want to continue then it woud be recommended that you purchase and destroy the farm first... that or find an empty area in this land or perhaps another Parcel..

2nerdy4u - I KNEW I WAS FORGETTING SOMETHING! Thanks... Did you want to imput any points into it?

Well, really looks like this thing is taking off. Good work N4C! Must really be tough to manage this and RL, and for that, I commend you.

Also, about the company, I want everything to be part of the company. All developments, purchases, and points of 2nerdy4u now belong to U93PD. I just want U93PD to be the name of the company doing the developing, with 2nerdy4u as the head. Sorta adds a little realism to the whole thing, rather than having any ordinary person owning a bridge and a small town...

Well, I made 2 shields for highways in the Newark region... here they are.

    newarkshieldan6.jpg

This is your general highway shield.  Use white Clearview font centered inside the blue area. (look for "roadgeek fonts" on Google to get a Clearview "clone" font)

    tollshieldff7.jpg

This shield, a variant of the above one, is obviously for toll roads only.  Same font and color are to be used for the route number.

Also, I would like my portion of the 202/2A tollway to be constructed to a Rural Highway standard, with a one tile median.  Plus, I want Highway Light towers along the entire length of the route.

    Edit: Modified images to .jpg.

And lastly, here is my proposal for the 2A tollway beyond exit 9:

    hwy2025lx2.jpg

P.S.:  The signs I posted in the first image of my 202/2A proposal weren't mine: but the ones the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority in Austin, Texas uses on their toll roads... just had to tell you that.

Edit: Cool, I see it now... I'll get you a price quote on each portion... I'm going to start biulding the portion from Exit 6 to 9...

Also if Tuckaway Transportation is interested in the production of Highway Signs throughout the regions expressways, I will provide the graphics and extra points...

Hmm Okay, well then as this is not a request I think I am still able to talk about this here.??? ANYWAY Dolce Investments does not at this time think the Newark is ready for the Development of a Large scale shopping/hotel area. Instead we will be focusing on the Downtown renovation project.

CTF: Welcome to the SI Director's Panel. Decision-making begins on Monday.

There are still two open spots on the director's panel.

2nerdy4u: That's a fair point, however in my hometown, for example, Coran Capshaw (the manager of the Dave Matthews Band) is practically buying up the city. So it is plausible for individuals to become huge real estate mongers.

e350tb - Sure but what kind of transport plant? is it a bat? if so where?

Yoshiisland - You could, make electronic ones for our project. I need them for one way roads and rural highways... you really could, with Houstan Fan's permission, modify his existing Rural Highway Tollbooth to a oneway road booth

I'm going to compile a list of highway signs for you and post them... these can be done at any capacity and rate, there's no deadline just whatever conviniences you...

Amerikaner - No problem... What area of downtown are you interested in renovating?

Well I wanted to stay away from Linaton, however I have a proposal to make. I would like to purchase and demolish the farm covering A5. If the Schop Institute would be willing to help pay for the cost, all land, save a 2x2 area reserved for the NWC, will be donated to the Institute.

CTF, if you look at my proposal for the 202/2A tollway beyond exit 9, you'll see that Highway 2 beyond the tollway's ending is planned to become an avenue (at least in my vision), and go over into the city tile where Linaton is situated.  Since you want to demolish the farm at A5, which touches Highway 2 on the neighboring city tile, I think it would be a good idea to dedicate a one-tile wide strip beside Highway 2, so it can be widened easier when the time comes.
