This CJ will have weekly updates while I'm in college. I am using a scale of 16m per tile and am using the NAM and Simoleon modd. I have the Deluxe addition and this is my second attempt at making Indianapolis. I am also using the cheat "you don't deserve it to place more churches and other landmarks. Also with the airport I will be using the RIMP Airport pack or whichever one has diagonal runways.

Looks interesting. You can use ploppable RCI, that will help you for your project. I thinked to build Indianapolis but so, I prefered Lincoln due to the size.

    Good luck mate!

You (place explatives here)! you so totally stole my idea! i've been toying with Sim4 for a few months now since getting my new MacBook and have been testing layouts to start my own recreation of Indy. i like what you've done so far, especially the accuracy of the path choices with the interstates. i hadn't planned on anything so difficult, but then i i'm still trying to decide how to tackle the diagonals--roundabouts would be inaccurate, and nothing else really looks or works the way i want, at least not that i've found so far... Good luck with your city, hope we can both do it justice 2.gif

i'm a 25 year old native and really do like this city. as i've been contemplating ways to recreate--and eventually improve--it the many shortcomings of SC4 keep rearing their ugly heads. i can't wait till the game abandons the necessity of the grid!

Looks good but I suggest you try this(Linkie) This mod removes the One Way Road Arrows. Since  you have a lot of one way roads. It would look a little bit realistic and more eye pleasing! And try to find some nice BATs too, I'll keep an eye on this one.

Here's how far I got today. I haven't played all weekend and updates may be sporadic over the next week. I am using a road atlas of Indianapolis and its surrounding areas. My main goal is to recreate the road system accurately then worry about appearence. It takes longer to place BAT buildings because I Alt-tab to check the location of the building. Also it is easier to use a ruler to measure the distance between roads. For those who are interested in what road atlas I'm using it is American Map "Indianapolis, IN" Street Atlas Copyright 2007. I move in to my college dorm down at U of Indianapolis on the 22nd of August so right now I'm preparing to move out of my parents' house. Expect weekly updates while I'm in college.

Accurate road layout, but I think it would look better if you didn't have so many abandoned buildings in the downtown area. Good start, though.
