Where to begin

First of all: Great work you guys are doing here.

I'm have been playing for a couple of months now and loving this game allready.

But seeing al these great things you can put in the game makes my head spin.

All i have at the moment is the NAM.

Now i want to add some extra's into the game.

But where to start. I've been reading the thread on the BSC Mac Archive and there is alot of stuff.

So if someone can point me in the right direction.

or if its possible, can someone make a screenshot of the plugin folder they have that works?

Downloads from the stex go straight into your plug-in's folder, Nothing needed, Just drag the folders right in, You might want to read some read-me's because some need extra files to use them, But usaully will mension them in the description. It might be a good idea to organize your plug-in's incase if you lose something.. It could be hard to find one or two files over a hundred.

A lot of custom buildings use installers that don't work on a mac. A program called FileJuicer can extract the files you need to put in your plugins folder from most installers on the STEX (there are a few that don't juice, but you can count them on one hand, and most of them are available as zips as well).

But most from the Stex do work. So dont think you are limited only by the BSC mac archieve

i've started to follow the thread of the BSC mac archive and download the items in the order of the posts. The first posts are from 2004, hope i don't need to update the files later on.

Is there a maximum of items you can put in the game?

Landmarks have no limit.

I have rmanaged to reach a limit on parks in my menus.  So there is a limit to that.  As for the others, I don't know because I've neither reached a limit on them nor have I pushed the menus very far.

Well i'm on page 2 of the BSC mac archive thread and i must say "it's a little frustrating".

For example, i got the Spotlight Store and looked in the read me for the dependencies. There it said i need the: DEDWD Aussie Retail Series Props Vol2, but i only found an .exe which i can't use. I got the BSC MEGA Props - DAE Vol01 but it's not in it and now i don't know where to find it.

Did all you Mac users go through the same frustrating process to get the files you wanted or is there a Super Mega all included pack which has all the up to date Props and textures you need for the files on the BSC mac archive.

Well i go back to Sato (my city) and see what kind of new stuff i got so far.
