    Update 10:

Another mediocre sized update for today. I switched the highways from the RHW to one way roads and redid the interchange. I also extended it a little bit.

In addition to the highways I also added some new buildings.

The interchange system looks good, but I think it would look better if the overpasses were "underpasses." For example, if you made that portion sunken and have the other highway which is currently flat on the ground become the overpass by using NAM puzzle pieces.  I hope you know what I'm talking about, because I don't know if I'm explaining it clear enough.

    jacqulina: Thanks!

    bbfan02: Yeah, it's a complicated intersection!

slam464: I think I understand. Something like this?

update105newinterchangeal5.jpgcrazyarchitect: I think there is a lot of Ill Tonkso's bats already in the downtown, but I will check again to see if there are any good ones that I may have missed.

TheSixCents: Got any specific kind of tree in mind?

Sorry I haven't updated this in over a week, but I have been busy with school, but I should have an update ready by early next week. Stay tuned, I'll post it here as soon as it's ready.

Sorta, but if you make the sunken road deeper, the overpass will be level with the connecting road as opposed to angling up.  The trick is, whichever overpass puzzle piece you are planning to use (for example the one ways), use the same for the hole digging mod.  So in this case, you would need to use the one way (or road) hole digger.  If you had wanted to use avenue overpasses, you would need to use the avenue hole digger because they are set at different heights.

It wouldn't let me go any deeper, because of the water level.

It would be nice to see something between the Lanes of the Highway. Plazas or something like this

Well, looking at downtown again, it still lacks a definitive tall building, for example: the Empire State Building in NYC, something along those lines for this city, and also maybe put a couple of Portland buildings in here from Sparkythepenguin

EDIT: also some buildings by nofunk and spa would make the downtown more realistic and historical, but otherwise it looks very cool35.gif40.gif

Begin sprawling the city. Contstruct a master-planned community far out from downtown. Also, if you won't use the ingame freeways, then stick to RHW to create freeways.

I just wanted to pop in and tell everyone that is following the CJ that I haven't given up on this. I just haven't been in the mood to play SimCity recently. I don't know when I will be back to update this, but I don't see myself updating this soon.

Danm, I really like this CJ. Everyone has anti-SimCity moods but you get through them. I hope you keep updating regularly but it's your choice.
