hello and welcome little boys and girls

this is my first try of a city journal

the region is always flat but i want add some rivers 

the region has 2 main cities the first one is GRAND PLAINES, it lies on the left side

and the other city lies on the right side 

but i´ve only done built a small part of Grand Plaines

the whole plex should be a suburban nightmare with the 2 main cities and a couple of suburban cites and a couple of small downtowns

so i hope the pictures work

i have the problem that my internet explorer doesn´t show up the pictures on opera

and the format is png , don´t know how to change

Grand Plaines is the smaller of these two cities

and has also a small CBD

so guys hope it does works

well, it sounds nice but i cant see the pictures. i use the program AnyToJPG to convert my images. i'll be back when you get the pictures fixed. good luck with this!

I can't see nthe pics and you are not allowed to uplaod PNG pica to this site only JPG - Change it in windows paint.

and the data is little bit bigger from 833 up to 893 kb but still the same symbol don´t know that its right??

yeah it right as long as the file is now a JPEG (If you pick that as whgat to save it is then it will be a JPEG file)

If i were you, I would start off with a traditional small town before focusing on building skyscrapers. Nevertheless, I like the Chicago look of your city.

Hey it's a good start (and Firefox loads instantly for all you poor, poor IE users) but...it's a bit...sall for the skyscrapers. Nevertheless they look good together and I like the look.

hey! i see you downloaded the AnytoJpeg program. your city is pretty unrealistic because you're starting with skyscrapers and stuff but eh? WHO CARES! it looks great anyway. i like the loation of your stadium with the roundabouts at both ends. quite esthetically pleasing. your skyline is also looking good. you have lots of room to build and you're doing an awsome job. good luck my friend and keep up the great work

I'd suggest either getting the GIMP (you can find it easily on Google) or IrfanView (which is great for converting images and resizing).

Both of those are freeware, and well worth the download. (I'd suggest grabbing both, as IrfanView is useful for converting images to greyscale which will often fix borked region maps). GIMP will allow you to do some fancy manipulation as well.

Also, both of the above programs seem to be better at compressing images.

hello this is interesting i like your use of custom interchanges...im lovin that stadium btw it looks really cool where you placed it and the CBD is looking prettty nice im interested to see what it looks like after the whole city is grown out...im betting its gonna be a massive city (suburbs) lol good luck and i cant wait to see more...but please post all pics at once you might piss some people off lol

Ahh... this looks nice!  Seriously, I cannot wait to see how this comes out.  Also, I would like to suggest using The Great Chozo's "Highway Light Towers" (link) to line your freeways and to light up interchanges (just remember to space them realistically!). And if you need any more inspiration for the freeways, just PM me.  (I have built very nice custom freeways using one-way roads that have gone up to 12 lanes -- all of the lanes usable by through car traffic)

The Roundabouts are included in the latest NAM (june) version

so i have built a little bit of the greater city on the eastside

the city name is San Plaintonio and is a lil bit based on Dallas like the whole region

still got plopped skyscrapers little bit denser as in Grand Plaines because it should became the bigger city

The big stand alone tower is the highest skyscraper in the whole region

Looks good so far, but you might want to try putting in skyscrapers last, as it's kind of weird to see a skyscraper built in the middle of nowhere.
