Hi,

I've been playing simcity 4 rushhour for some weeks now and I really love it. Especially after installing the NAM plugin and some other mods.

I was wondering however, what other mods I should know about to make my cities more beautiful or better to manage. I know have the following mods in place:

  • NAM
  • Industry quadruplar
  • SuperDemand
  • No Dilapidation mod
  • Radius doubler
And depending on whether I want realism or pure fun, the Azuls Max money mod.

I'm interested in what other good mods are out there.

Nice mods, going to download some now. I also found some buildings when I searched for cycledogg. Looks good.

    Thanks for the tip 4.gif

Its right here. Click on Modds & Dowloads and it is # 18. After playing since 04 I tried it this last Janruary and have been happy with it.

I would not add the super-demand mod here.

These mods may come handy in certain situations but keep especially the unexperienced player from learning and understanding the game's mechanisms.

What I do miss here is the No Palm Tree - mod and especially the bridge height - mod. In addition to this I don't want to play the game anymore without a (rather sharp) slope mod

I agree. I still consider myself a newbie. I downloaded the Industry Quadrupler and Residential Halver mods and installed them, thinking that it would make the game much more fun. However, I am having a much harder time keeping my sims employed now that there are fewer industrial zones on my map, with respect to residential zones. My commute time is getting out of hand. I need to rethinkg my start up strategy now.

I scaled back on the Industry Quadrupler because the maximum dat was just too much. The same with the Farms Job multipliers. At maximum the poor road system is overwhelmed for a farm community. I scaled it back to the X10 dat and everything seems to function better.

I stay away from super demand. Makes the cities grow to fast..... I like slow/managed growth.

    Merci for the Help!

But some other thing: Is there a Mod that Sets all Buildings to "Historical"? So if a building once appered it will never change again?

you don't need a mod to do that. just query the building. There is a check box to "Make Historical".
