WOW, an excellent cj!!!! I like the use of the airport terminal pieces as harbor lots, I do the same and it looks fantastic (same for creating warehouses...). The area looks very Hong Kongish, congrats!! The 3D program you discovered looks great, too bad there isn't something similar for other cities... Anyways, looking forward to seeing more of your great work,

That claims a lot of talent in my opinion. the new park areas looking great, but i little treeless (on the left site). otherwise it is still magnificent (done my homework 9.gif ) Although the constuction pits provide a feeling of living, i'm more interested in the complete buildings, because the others are set up greatly.

[marvelous, suberb... gotta stop here 4.gif]

Just thought I'd quickly tell you guys that I'm gonna be starting work on Chap Lap Kok airport and Lantau Island soon (After Mong Kok and Jordan of course) as well as some of the port areas down that way. In the mean time here's just a quick update of Mong Kok. For the most densely populated area in the world it's not as hi-rise as you would think. Really most buildings are under 12 stories (although there are some 30 stories springing up) but it's very crowded on the streets with markets and just about everything else! It's about the only place in the world stupid toutists can buy a Gold Rolex (FAKE!) for under 100 dollars! 22.gif

    Oh. . . my. . . God. . . Now that's jaw-dropping.

At first I thought you were just plopping down key HK buildings then surrounding them with Asian BAT's but, after you showed those 3D images, I then knew that you were dead serious about this. . . and you pulled it off too. Amazing!

Whew!! Union Square looks great! Especially all the park area in front. I cant wait to Finish Harbourside V2 and see you use it. BTW Between me and Simfox we got 60% of all Olympian City done, that sits just behind Union Square...so this CJ is going to look real nice.

    I love coffee and buildings.

Sorry for the lack of updates over the past few weeks, been working on new areas of Hong Kong from all over the place, anyway here are the first stages of Lamma Island, A medium sized island just south of Hong Kong Island (About a 20 minute ferry trip). One of the major futures of the Island is these 3 god awful massive looking smoke stacks that poke out from the northern part of the Island. They're part of a massive coal fired power plant however the island strangely isn't that polluted at all, probably because of all the mostly in-tact rain forest that surrounds the island. Here's some pic's of my re-creation and the town on the island will follow in the next update and be warned it's the side of Hong Kong that's not 30 stories high! I'm real happy with the way this power plant turned out too, realistic down to the building by using Google Earth.

Here's an overview of the complex, I'm not sure but it was probably built on re-claimed land. There's currently construction going on one of the little islands.

Hey everybody! I just noticed that I've never really shown you guys what Hong Kong looks like from street level so here it is! I've added a special filter in Photoshop to add a kind of soft glow that is like the illumination that you get from the lights and the fog/smog in Hong Kong (Also gets rid of the low quality that you get on zoom 6). Most of these are from the back streets of Tsim Sha Tsui and the HSBC Tower roof if from Central of course. Enjoy!
