Bixel: Amazing work, yet again. I have no idea how you crank out buildings so fast! Mine's taken me like 2 days, and I'm like 25% done, lol. This building is just the first of some buildings that I'm working on that will eventually be in one pack. Here's a link to the building I'm modeling it off of: http://www.db.uth.tmc.edu/UTDB_eflash/images/DBRB_New_Bldg_Image.JPG
  2. I think if he had polled a different country, or different part of China (like the rural areas), the answers would be very different. But I do think that developing upwards will be needed in the near future, and although I doubt there will quite be the supertalls like on Coruscant in Star Wars, I think places llike HK, NYC, Tokyo, etc. will build incredibly tall residential buildings. To answer your question, I think it would be good for the environment as it would keep the land we have left preserved and animal habitats undisturbed. I personally don't think I'd mind living in a tall apartment building, so long as there is a park in that complex or within walking distance.
  3. Windows 7

I'm running it on Windows 7 64-bit and it works well. The only problem I get is is that it crashes every once-in-a-while.
  4. Xbox Live to subscribers: Don't be gay

You guys are making this out to be way worse than it actually is. "Microsoft does nothing to stop this or prevent it, but instead sides with the homophobes." Uh, actually they are. They don't allow you to use gay or lesbian in your name, thus preventing this entire thing. And also, you can report the harassers, that's what the feature's for. MS knows that 90% of the names with gay or lesbian in them are negative, so they're banning the use of the word. They did the same thing with the word "Jew." She says that she was being harassed, so she wants MS to do something about it, well they did, and now she's angry at them. Honestly, anyone with common sense knows that there are many, many little kids on XBL who will harass you if you have gay or lesbian in your name, so why even put it there in the first place? And what's with all of you bashing XBL? It's not like it's the only service that does this, look at one of the PSN's Terms of Service rules: "You must not: ii. take any action, or upload, post, stream or otherwise transmit any content, language, images or sounds in any forum, communication, public profile, Online ID or otherwise via PSN which we in our sole discretion find offensive or vulgar. This includes any content or communication that we find racially, ethnically, sexually or religiously offensive, defamatory or threatening" Honestly, what do you expect MS to do? Monitor every game conversation taking place, then ban ones who swear at and harass people? No, they can't, that's why the report feature is there. Even if they did Monitor your conversations, I'd guarantee people would be complaining about that too.
  5. CitiesXL First Impressions talk

Wow, this preview has sold me on the game. There wasn't one thing I read that I didn't like, apart from the graphics, but you already said it wasn't a finished build. I do have a question though: Did you guys discuss how much it will cost per month for Online play?
  6. I saw that you guys wanted some textures for avenues, and I just wanted to help out cause I love this mod. Here's my idea. I kinda ripped off the road texture, so I hope whoever created that doesn't care. I'm doing an interstate and one way road too. Suggestions, comments, etc. are welcomed.
  7. BATs Currently in Progress

It's extremely early in development, and I think I'm in over my head so don't get your hopes up. It's Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Eagles football team.
  8. Simtropolis Site Bugs

I'm getting the same problem Bahdur. I can't use the search feature anymore
  9. World Cities. (Update 28

Amazing work! I can't wait till you do other Italian cities since I was just in Italy 2 summers ago. Venice looks amazing...really brought back memories.
  10. Chicago

Great start! Chicago is one of my favorite cities, so I'll be watching this carefully.
  11. This. Is. AWESOME! I was going to do a CJ depicting the terreforming of Mars from Red to Blue, but I never went through with it. I'm glad you're doing something similar (and better, lol). I take it that you're read Kim Stanely Robinson's Mars Series, too. Amazing set of books, one of my favorite series.
  12. Beijing Olympics 2008

I was pretty mad that I missed most of the opening ceremony. I only saw the Parade of Nations and lighting the Olympic torch. I've seen highlights of of the stuff I missed, but is there any place that I can see most, if not all, of the ceremony? I've been looking on NBColympics.com for a while, but I can't find a video of it.
  13. OH. MY. GOD. I'm speechless. All I can say is thank you Monte Cristo!
  14. Ok, is there anywhere else that I can download this mod. For some reason, when I go to download it at the place you linked it doesn't work. I'll click on "download" but nothing will happen. Edit: Nevermind. I found a mirror over at ModDB.
  15. The thing that makes me mad is that EA won't care that much (IMO), because both Sim City games are published by EA so it doesn't matter to them which one sells more, as long as they're selling. Hopefully Tilted Mill picks up on this though. I almost feel bad for them.
