Well it's almost time to move onto the next area so I'm just gonna finish up with a few pictures from Central and Kowloon.

I've taken Paul's advice and moved the Lippo to its proper site (behind the Far East Finance Center) Here's a nice shot of it in the evening.

    Central Plaza in the evening...

    CN2ST.jpg

And Pacific Place again with its amazing custom night-lighting.

    CN3ST.jpg

The Lippo Towers. There's crazy traffic for about 4 blocks all around the Lippo every evening, I swear I haven’t used traffic generators for this, it's all natural!

Here's some of the busy low-wealth market areas from Tsim Sha Tsui again.

Dude, this is probably the CJ i like most. usually I just lurk around other CJs but I just have to post in this. I guess I just like urban CJs more then the CJs about terraforming and small scale development i guess

the low-wealth market produces a great impression of the daily habits in Hong Kong. the whole cj does.

btw i want to ask if you are still working on your 4 season cj?

Wow! I can't believe I haven't seen this before. Your work is amazingly realistic. It will look even more realistic when more Hong Kong BAT's are released.

Accuracy down to single buildings + digital art by photoshopping :-P

breathtaking..... but is there any way to increase the vehicle and pedestrian traffic? Streets are kinda quiet for HK.

Here are some real life pictures that we took while in Hong Kong. I've been using some of these as my base template for the Sim City re-creation. Sorry but most of the pictures were taken in November '06 so It's a little cloudy... Anyway, to start off here's the Real Life IFC 2 tower.

    HK2.jpg

    The Central Pier

    HK3.jpg

Some old houses on the north side of Llama Island

    HK4.jpg

Star Ferry Kowloon looking across to Central

    HK5.jpg

The clouds are so low that the IFC 2 tower is over the clouds!

    HK7.jpg

    Star Ferry

    HK6.jpg

The gateway on the Star Ferry. What's an OCTOPUS?

    HK8.jpg

    Ocean Terminal

    HK9.jpg

Looking accross at Central Plaza and the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center

    HK10.jpg

A bit further down past Central Plaza

    HK11.jpg

The Far East Finance Center and The Lippo Towers. See the construction site?

    HK12.jpg

The HSBC Tower, The Bank of China and Jardine House just to name a few!

    HK13.jpg

The Hong Kong Island Star Ferry

    HK14.jpg

    The HSBC tower

    HK15.jpg

    In avenue GLR...

    HK16.jpg

    Streets of Hong Kong

    HK17.jpg

    Those trams again...

    HK18.jpg

An old building near the Bank of China

    HK19.jpg

On the streets! If you see you're self tell me

    HK20.jpg

    Nathan Road, Kowloon at night

    HK21.jpg

Bixel's Victoria Towers in real life, outside Kowloon Park

    HK22.jpg

    Kowloon Park pond

    HK23.jpg

Now an old photo. Some of the massive residential towers on the other side of Hong Kong Island. Some of them kinda look like the Garden Estate towers.

    HK0.jpg

That wraps up Real Life Hong Kong. Now for some Sim City pics. Here's the other side of Kowloon Park

    BusyRoadST.jpg

And see that big construction site, that's the ICC3 tower under construction

    ICCcomplexST.jpg

    That's all from me.

awesome! if you need more pictures, i have some recent ones from march of this year. and "octopus" refers to the octopus cards in use in HK. it's basically a transit card that you can use on the KCR, MTR, and even the Star Ferry. and that old photo... is that Ocean Park? great work, it's certainly bringing back some good memories 4.gif
