SC 3000 For mac

Can i even buy sc3000 for mac anywhere these days? I had it a long time ago and i liked it. Any ideas where i could get it?

Im not to sure. Because, maxis stopped making SC3000 a long time ago, that gives me the impression that apsyr would have stopped converting them a long time ago.

Aspyr never made SC3K Mac. It was a company called Software MacKiev. I bet you dollars to donuts you can find it on eBay!

Ooooo, I had the fun of trying to find SC3000 for the Mac a little bit over a year ago. I managed to find one, and only one copy on eBay, and unfortunately was out bid. Doesn't matter if you can or cannot find it, no discussion of that here!  ~zel~   I ended up getting a PC version and playing it on Virtual PC (which, while quite slow, it did work). Of course, I didn't find SC3000 that great, just some minor improvements over 2000, and stopped playing it.

Even if you do find a copy of SC3K, don't plan on running it in OS X. First, it's a Classic app, which means it requires OS 9 be installed on your machine - and if you're on an Intel Mac you're out of luck completely - and second, unless you're able to boot into OS 9, it barely runs in Classic to begin with.

i bought this on eBay like 5 years ago.... it doesn't run well, and only the vanilla version is available

you're better off getting it for PC if you own one..... a deluxe version called SC3K Unlimited was released for it.

I still have my SC3000, SC2000 and the O.G. (and SimAnt) for my 6 year old iMac running 9.1 - the G3 machine that looks like a Volks Bug. I encourage all Mac users to have an iMac with OS 9 rather than running Classic in OS X. Classic, in my opinion, is a great idea but the weakest thing Apple ever put together. I also prefer old school iTunes and dreamweaver for OS 9 (really the only 2 reasons I have the sucker). Anywho, just some thoughts
