Once again FS, really nice work. I like the story of how the haunted lighthouse was abandoned, very entertaining and interesting. Keep it up!

@ tommygecko: I don't know if this CJ will last forever, but I'll continue as long as I like making a CJ!

@ Petriknl: The rest of the region is much like this one; water, hills, small cities, etc. I could reply to you in Dutch, but that wouldn't be fair for our non-Dutch viewers 1.gif

@ Radioheadfan: Well, your journal showed me that a story can make a CJ much more interesting, I hope I can continue my CJ like this!

@ Jetty jockey: If there is one thing is that I hate then it must be open space and nature that get's swallowed by urban sprawl. And besides that, small but compact cities show much more passion in my opinion.

PS: Don't I know you from Sc3000 at the old exchange?

@ SC4 Meister: I hope I can show you more soon, but I am not sure if I can make it...

To all: I am sorry for the short responsed, but I don't have much time right now. I don't know if I can get the update ready for today , but I'll try to do my best, Ok? If I can't get it done I'll give you an extra large update for tomorrow, to minimize your pains 44.gif
    Stay tuned!

That was a great story with the hunted lighthouse, but the streets stand out and make it appear odd....

Other then that....Nothing else to say....

I told you I'd come back and here I am!!! 19.gif

And I like what I see there!! I like especially your Islands. Made some more or less mediocre experinece with independent islands (meaning islands with no elektric / railways / road connection to the continent).

How do you supply your island with electricity? I don't see any powerplant / powerhole there ...). How do you get rid of the garbage or isn't there much because of its lowrise housing??? 42.gif

@ Sloppet: I'll do my best, thanks 44.gif

@ Cjah: I built the road there so you won't see a 'no road connection' sign. I think that would look even more odd 48.gif

@ tommygecko: In that case you're lucky, the next update is here!

@ jacqulina: Thank you, I hope you like the next update as much as the previous ones!

@ Nardo69: I cheated on the powersupply, I think it's unrealistic that even small towns of 100 people have to make their own electricity. Here in the Netherlands this is done by the government, and lately by companies. The same goes for the water supply. I haven't had any troubles with the garbage pollution lately, everything seems to go well.

I'll get the new update here in just a few minutes, hang on people!

    Update # 4 already!

Today's update is about Mangel and it's surroundings, which should all be covered in this picture.

    lemmers10feb4uk.jpg

This is Mangel's small harbour. As most of the harbours here, most of it's importance left with the comming of the railway here around 1900.

    lemmers31mrt0rp.jpg

Today it is only used for island commuting and tourism, and sometimes for the transport of large goods that can't be brought by railway.

    lemmers8jun3jw.jpg

Food and other goods are oftenly brought by railway at this station. It is no mystery that it can get very busy here.

    lemmers15mei0bq.jpg

This is Mangel's church. It is not as old as Lemmer's cathedral, but it has survived many heavy storms. Many munks of the monastry at Meeuweneiland learned to write here.

    lemmers3dec2ku.jpg

Mangel also hosts Lemmer's only police station, which is located south, near the sea and the railroad.

    lemmers28dec9yj.jpg

North of Mangel you can find the local cemetry. It is not very large, because in the past most fishermen desired a 'seamansgrave' instead of to be buried on land. A seamansgrave means you will be covered in blankets and thrown into the sea.

    lemmers21sep2sj.jpg

At last, a small picture to showcase what you can do with Cycledogs awesome mods. Just see how great the textures are, isn't it great?

    lemmers4dec6iz.jpg

Thanks for viewing, and till next time!

PS: I have to excuse myself for some spelling mistakes, I am not a native English or American, so please forgive me!

Good work FS, especially loving the harbor and the terrain pic! And don't worry about your spelling, a lot of North Americans/British can't spell that well...

I like these fishing towns... very rural. I expect people living in these villages would develop a community feel. Good transit and good ideas. A possible future tourist attractions... maybe Ecotourism & Ecoresidential. Already this place is very environmentally sustainable. In my opinion this is an excellent CJ. Im not really a fan of huge cities so to me this is awesome. I'd love to live here! Continue with the great updates...1.gif

@ Radioheadfan: In that case, shouldn't they apologize either? 1.gif

@ SC4 Meister: When traffic on land was difficult, and the railways weren't invented yet, the boat was the easiest way of transport. No wonder you get all these nice ports. I am glad you like them, I am pretty happy with them myself!

@ aleking: Thanks, you Four sisters region is very cool too!

    @ jacqulina: Thank you!

@ shootthemagpies: Thanks, I am very happy you like the CJ, it's my first time I make a rural region/CJ, so I am glad to get all this positive feedback. It is a mayor drive for me to continue with it!

Due to lack of time the next update is delayed, and postponed till tomorrow. Please stay tuned, and thanks for looking!

@ lookinin: I'm happy you like it, I sure will!

@ Cjah: I do have the NAM installed properly (I am not sure about it) but I haven't got the time yet to discover how it works. Are you talking about pedestrian areas that replace roads? I'll have to find those!

@ mrbisonm: Are you talking about this one?

    lemmers3dec2ku.jpg

I am sure of it that it's Vanderaap's church, if you look for him you should find it!

@ jacqulina: Thank you, you must be the #1 poster at this CJ 44.gif

Simcity is getting complicated these days, I downloaded a lot new farms, but they all disagree with me and don't show up, or show up incomplete. I first need this to work before I can update my CJ here, because some farms look real bad right now. I also tried out the NAM mod, but for so far it didn't do what I wanted it to do...Maybe I am expecting too much, or am I just dumb... Anyway, see you guys and galls next time! 9.gif

Nice start here. I like the way you've given some of the roads slight slants.

Hey thanks, Yes , it was this church I wanted and it is Vanderaap's church. I found it on the STEX. Now I can sleep better, only to know that I also can have it in my cities....21.gif

Yes, it can be a little complicated! Take your time and read all the dependency lists. The new mega-packs are really helpful with collecting them, but make it difficult to know what you have and don't have, what's up to date and what's not... I like to wing it 1.gif After I install everything I can find, I find dupes with this awesome & free little tool (offsite link) , then delete whatever files are older.

If I can't find a file, I can usually find it if I use the advanced search here on the forum and check the search message text box. Then usually I find a message with someone asking about it and someone directing them to where it is.

The new farms look REALLY great and IMHO, it's worth getting them installed.

What kind of problems are you having with NAM?

Can't wait for your next update!
