@ lookinin: I am very glad you like it, most of the towns aren't this small, but are about as nice.

@ jacqulina: Thank you, that hotel is an in-game reward. You get it when there are enough rich people in your region and your air pollution is very low.

@ sloppet: Thank you! Tell your brother to get well soon, his cities are awesome. Do you make cities as well?

@ SC4 meister: I am glad you liked the previous town, how about the next one?

    @ jacqulina: Thanks again 48.gif

    Update # 9!

Today we are visiting Klintel. One of the larger towns in the area, with almost 5000 inhabitants. It has a few nice hotspots, but I will show you them later. First, the city at dawn.

    klintel1nov8ji.jpg

This is the town's center, with the small market square and the town hall.

    klintel15nov2qp.jpg

North of the town hall there are some nice living areas...

    klintel6dec2yn.jpg

... and north west there is the Worker's quarter. A lot of the poor workers used to live here. Nowadays it's a rather trendy place to live.

    klintel1feb3fv.jpg

This is where the workers used to work. Since the industries have been modernizing, jobs for most of the workers were unneeded and they got fired. There is still some work to do, and they live just south of the factories. The town's only railway station is also located here.

    klintel6nov7dz.jpg

There are also some rich people living around here. Most of them found there home here, south of the market square.

    klintel1dec2ql.jpg

There is not much at the east side of town, except for the road that leads further east and the cemetry, and ofcourse the railroad.

    klintel11nov5lw.jpg

Before I end this update, I would like to know: Would you prefer to see a larger city now, or shall I continue showing you smaller cities? I have them both waiting for you.

Thanks for checking out my CJ! Hope to see you soon again!

I'm afraid that's not going to happen... Simcity crashed yesterday, about 3 times, and I had to reinstall Simcity. And after that, it kept on crashing! So I had to delete the plugin folder, and that fixed the problem! I spent about 6 hours downloading all my lost Bats and mods, and I am going to spend today installing them all. Because the farms did me more troubles than joy (I am very sorry Lookinin!!) I won't be reinstalling them. I hope this all solves the problem.

This means all of my cities with custom farms won't load properly, and in that case I can't make a real update for them. If I start a new CJ with the Maxis farms, I will notify you all here.

I don't know if it was your fault Lookinin, at the end the game would crash down even if I placed a normal Maxis hospital, so you can say the game was pretty corrupted. I only know at the end my plugin folder was about 600 Mb, that can't be good... Now it's only half of it. Let's see if things work out this time.

Rob first off very nice CJ congrats on the 4 pages sofar.

The reason your game kept crashing was probably due to either a lot or a mod conflict. Try not to install to many files at once that way you will be able to tell which files are causing the problem. I have had to download my full plugin folder twice now never again because I decided to burn my plugin folder onto a cd rom I would give you that advice as well so this never happens again.

Anyways Great seeing you again its been a while hope to see you around more.

Eeeek, it sounds very painful what happened. 15.gif My sympathies to you, because there's nothing worse than a stupid corruption knocking out something you've spent ages on.

I'm with Gemika on backing-up to CD. My plugin folder is at 2.5gb 34.gif (goodness knows how or why, lol) and thats quite a few CDs, but its worth it. I think of my plugins like a fragile ecosystem, where everything functions just right as one, but one little problem could blow the lot. Backing up regularly preserves it.

No updates for five nine (haha I can't count) days - are you going to concentrate on a larger city then, because of the farm probs, or is this an end? I'd like to say tho, your sundown pic is astounding. Beautiful stuff.

Too bad about your pc crashing ... even worse about the farms ... 15.gif8.gif

God luck and all the best wishes in finding out the exact reason of your problems. I am really thankful that my SCS crushes very rarely... Maybe because I am not using XP but win2K ???
