Center Avenue Turning Lane

Yah, I was just wondering if the avenue with the center-turning lane has been released. I can't remember if its still in testing or not and i've seen it numerous times in screenshots and now once again on a newly released lot on the exchange...even tho it was a screenshot. If anyone has any information on this or could refer me to the thread that talks about it, it would be greatly appreciated.

The Avenue Turning Lane mod is part of the NAM. It creates left (or right) turn lanes on avenues at intersections ONLY.

A mod was made a while back that created Suicide Lanes (turn lanes all along the avenue, not just at intersections). Unfortunately, that mod was made with a much older NAM, and has not been updated since. It's still on the STEX, uploaded by ryanb_sc4

Turning Lanes for Avenues that work are being developed by Tarkus which ids like the one on the STEX except i's functional and not eye candy.

He has also made wider avenues without turning lanes, wider avenues with turning lanes and roads with turning lanes.

I haven't tested it with the new NAM yet (I don't have SC4 currently, hope to have it soon), but I don't think there are any conflicts.

There's a huge update in store.  I've teamed up with Tarkus, who is making the center turn lanes functional.  They're called TLAs (Turning Lane Avenues), and you can look for them soon!

ryanb_sc4's Two Way Left Turn Lane mod is actually just a set of replacement textures for the Avenue network, so it's not reliant on the NAM at all.  The turn lanes are, as warrior pointed out, not functional.  But as he mentioned, we're working on the TLA mod, which will make them functional.

If you're meaning the TLA mod, which will be released as a component of the Network Widening Mod project (it will be packaged with the RHW and at some point, the OWR-5), there is no release date set for it.  I really don't know how long it will take for it to be ready for release.  You'll have to be patient for it.  Besides, being a NAMite, I'd rather surprise people.

Okay...im confused now lol.

The avenues that i have seen that have the turning lane right in the center so both directions can use it are non functional right ? And tarkus's new one will be funtional for traffic then ?
