 sakflag.gif---SAKHALIYA'S WIKI--- sakflag.gif

Welcome to Sakhaliya, Comrades! I am 3rd Commissonar of Intelligence, Stefan Makomov, i'll be your update officer in this Intel Dossier. Together, we will build this nation to an unpredictable strength. The Sakhaliyan Peoples Republic is a relatively small nation, we pride ourselves on hard work, fairness and the glorious writings of our Leader, Premier Uri Buriya.

-SAKHALIYAN INFORMATION-

The C.H.P was formed in 1948 to end the dispute over who should claim ownership of Sakhalin Area; Russia or Japan. After a short 2 year occupation by Soviet and US forces it was decided that the Region should be free to Govern itself, leading the quick birth of the nation and the transation of the post World War II world into the Cold War era. It is a small Country that occupies the far Easterly border of Russia and also lays claim to the Island of Sakhalin which the country derives its name from. Sakhaliya has coasts with the Pacific Ocean, Sea of Okhotsk, Sea of Japan, the Sakhalin Straight and shares its borders with Russia to the East, the Primorsky State to the South, China to the South East and the KSSR to the North East (although Sakhaliya does not officially recognise its existence).

-Where in the World?-

For those of you with little Geographical Knowledge,  Sakhaliya is located at the Eastern end of Russia, north of Vladivostok and not too far from our Japan.

-More Information-

Sakhaliya has a Council Seat in the IPON, its main focus is the saftey of member states and the promotion of workers and Union rights amoungst the Pact members although it is occasionally critisized itself over the lack of Democratic establishment and poor Economic Development. Dispite this, it has well established Diplomatic relations with many nations, including the United States whom many still believe are trying to supress Communism from existense. Sakhaliya's two large Neighbours, Russia and China, both support Sakhaliya in many ways including Militarily and Finacially. This is seen as the main contributing factor to why the United States will not interfere with the developing Nation by any means.

I know... and cheesy... but I need to start somewhere. I'm not going to leave it empty for days, I'm in the middle of the first update now... its just to get some public interest brewing if you know what I mean.

Well you've got my interest. And that is quite an annoying circle star 3.gif Just a plain commie star would look much nicer even with a circle around it, but that little empty space might wake up Stalin if you aren't too careful 3.gif.

The flag was just me trying be original... very hard to make an 'original' communist flag... you'll prolly notice its just a mixed up version of the Siberian flag... flags are far too difficult, lol 21.gif

I like the flag, it's very original. I can see what you mean about making an original communist flag.....there are so many flags with the star/hammer and sickle communist/Soviet insignia on them. Former flags I suppose I should say. I can't wait for this to start!

Thank you for all your replies (and/or constructive critism, lol)... sorry I cannot reply to you all personally but I will do so after the next update! 5.gif

I have updated my Initial Post with some basic information, I will build on it as time goes on, including the history of Sakhaliya and some other key elements that are missing at the moment.

I'm working on my first real update now and it should be here soon

    Have fun 47.gif

I think this is a great start! The style and creativity you've put into setting the scene for this place is entertaining and I'm looking forward to more narration from tovarish Makomov, the "3rd commisar of intelligence"... The character strikes me as a kind of evil Borat! Very original!

No no... it has. This CJ is going to be taking on a slight continuation of Siberia, Sakhaliya Began when Siberia Ended and the connection to Siberia will be established in the next update 5.gif

    All will be explained!

    UPDATE 1.0- Welcome to Sakhaliya

Ah, my Comrades! I welcome you to my first update! Let me see... what do I have... ah, I have a CHART... great... is that It? Is that all he give me? Ah.. and some pictures of the current situation involving Siberia.

A week has passed and this rain has not stopped! The air tastes like copper here in Khabarovsk but its nothing to worry about... its just the crisp air of a healthy city. The Meltdown, sadly, has claimed 373 lives so far due to Radiation Exposure accross Northern Russia, Siberia, Horatia and Kamcheknya. On a lighter note... Sakhaliya has been saved by the Gods [Jesus, Buddah, Allah, Thor... I thank you all] and will NOT be affected that badly by Nuclear Fallout as we can see in this past Weeks weather forecast-

    fallout.jpg

There was also confirmed reports of a Siberian Vessle named "Tsar of Siberia" docking at a tiny Fishing Harbour in the Sebya-Dostsky... apparently it had 45 thousand people on board.

    foggeh1.jpg

    foggeh3.jpg

My men at the Intel Offices in Khabarovsk were quick to mobilize as this Ship could have easily brought dangerous levels of Radation into the country...

    foggeh4.jpg

The Fishermen at the Harbour are  quarentined inside their houses and so was the harbour itself as an asessment team moved in...

    cho42607-2224s.jpg

How the ship managed to get to the Harbour is unclear, but initial reports from the Captain of the ship suggest he wasn't heading for Sakhaliya at all... he was heading for Rakyatingrad in the Kingdom of Sovatnya! He was forced FIFTY MILES out to sea by Horatian Coast Patrol in the rain and fog, rendering accurate Navigation impossible. Seems to me that he over shot his mark by about 70 miles and ended up Travelling around Sakhalin Island, up the coast expecting to hit Vladivostok... instead, he ended up here in Sakhalinya.

    fuyfy.jpg

As I speak, the ship is being inspected for Radiation [Were just getting in the Geiger Counters for the new 'Savlyat Nuclear Power Plant' due for construction over the next few months] and the Civillians inside the Boat are being taken to millitary 'Holding Facility' called the 'Prelyaposk Mines'... were I assume they will be Fed, Watered, Sterelized, treated and then released into the outside world as Citizens of Sakhaliya. I do have a picture of the facility that we took from a Chinese Spy thinking the Mine there was for Uranium... blah, load of nonsence... be buy our Uranium from Japan... It won't go towards weapons use, no way... well, maybe a little Atom Bomb... but shhhh... don't tell the Americans... or NATO... we know how uptight they all get when it comes to the 'Commies testing Weapons of Mass Destruction' uuuuugh... you'd think that maniacal 1950's Mccarthyism had worn off by now... oh well.

Heres that Chinese Spy pic... sorry its not very clear. I circled the Holding Facility in red for you though-

    warehouses.jpg

I'll get you up to speed on those Civillians soon... my Comrades at the Mines are ready to give me a Phonecall when the first Siberians are released.

Untill then, Dasvidanya Comrades! Sakhaliya bids you good day.

Awesome CJ update! I like this one very much! PHEW, the radiation didn't spread out towards Japan or else Hiraka would have had some trouble!
