What about MAGLEV in Sim City 4?

We have Railroad, Monorail, Elevatedrail, Undergroundrail/Subways and GLR/Tram (thanks to NAM) in Sim City 4 but what about MAGLEV trains and suspended Monorail in Sim City 4?

I heard in the HSRP thread that can you can't add entire new systems. you can only convert existing ones as well as to a extent extend them. The GLR system is apart of the sub/el system. The HSR is a replacement for monorail.

Well, DragonStallion, while you can't add entirely new networks, you can actually fake it quite well without replacing anything.  Theoretically, it would be possible to allow the Monorail and HSR to co-exist (not replace each other) using the same method that memo used in making Draggable GLR (which will be released as part of the next NAM release).  If someone wanted to do the modeling for the Maglev, it probably could be done this way as well.   You'd be amazed what you can actually get away with in SC4 modding-wise.  Forget SC5!

Quzo, same thing with suspended Monorail.  Would just need someone to model it.  As long as it's based on a similar principle to another network, it's fully doable. 

And El Burro, there's more where that came from, and a lot of it is coming rather soon . . .

Well, I meant that the no new system can be added, the "new" networks being created is still based on the original Maxis systems.

i found some one who made HSR but it replaces the monorail in the game and you can rename the big HSR station that comes with the mod and when you drive the HSR train it cant go around corners and do the monorail U-drive it mission

Well, Quzo, I'm pretty sure there are ways around that . . .   Just because it can't be done now doesn't mean that it won't be possible in the future.
