Finished book 1 of Legacy Of The Force, Betrayal and have now begun reading book 2 called Bloodlines.

Picked up some more Frederick Poul novels. Great classical science fiction from the Golden Era.

For Christmas I had the Complete collection of Calvin and Hobbes cartoons. I haven't started reading it yet, unfortunately (family matters). But I can't wait.

I had a whole host of books for Christmas, actually. May list 'em later.

Iv read quite a bit of his work. Been looking for a copy of Age of The Pussyfoot for years.

My summer reading consists of four books i received for Christmas.

Infinite Jest, by David Forster Wallace

Kafka on the Shore, by Haruki Murakami

The Lucky Country, by David Horne, and

One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich, by Aleksander Solzhenitsyn.

I just recently re-read Kurt Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle.

Finished Bloodlines, the second book in the nine book Legacy Of The Force series. Jacen Solo is on the fast track to becoming a Sith Lord like his grandfather Anakin Skywalker, but has deluded himself he's doing for other reasons than to gain power. He wants to bring 'order' to the galaxy which is reminiscent of what Vader said to try and lure Luke to help him overthrow the Emperor. Poor poor Jacen has no idea that he'll become more power hungry than Vader and Palpatine combined, and it will be his undoing. Han and Leia have already turned their backs on him, Luke doesn't trust him and his twin sister Jaina, wants nothing to do with him. Books 3-5 will arrive in the mail tomorrow from Amazon.

FINALLY I finished Blue Mars after, about 1/2 way thru it was exceedingly boring.

Amazing how much you read when the story is compelling.

Starting on Hyperion by Dan Simmons For lunch reading, with trepidation, A few posters on another site that it was Quite boring.

Also starting Xenocide by OC Card for bed time.

I'm currently about a third of the way through with reading "A Thousand Splendid Suns"...I love it so far, although I hear "Kite Runner" is better? I've yet to read that one, it's up next on the list.

I started reading Exile, book 4 of the Legacy Of The Force series earlier tonight.  A great read so far of the 70 or so pages I read.  Here's the synapse from the back cover...

I'm A Lebowski, You're A Lebowski by Bill Green, Ben Peskoe, Will Russell, and Scott Shuffitt. Includes interviews with cast members as well as some inside notes about production. An informative read actually. Did you guys know that Steve Buscemi was an NYC firefighter before he was an actor?

Well, I recently finished Eoin Colfer's And Another Thing, a sequel to Douglas Adam's The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series. After that I read Terry Pratchett's Going Postal, and now I'm about to re-read Stephen Fry's The Ode Less Travelled.

I may even get around to writing some poetry myself, when I have the time.

I didn't, did I. Penguins' feet don't freeze because the temperature of the blood is very low in the feet already, as heat is exchanged at the top of the legs. This minimises heat loss.
