If Luke, Leia and Han are in those books, they're in their late 50s early 60s because it's 40 years after Star Wars E4.  That would make Ben Skywalker a young man of 15-18.

Anyways, what really bugged me about the New Jedi Order series was that they killed off the best of the young Jedi in Anakin Solo, when they could have killed off his whiney and b*tchy brother Jacen. I could live with the fact that Chewie was offed, but not Anakin.

Well, I finished Rendezvous with Rama. Incredible book, and still one of my top five novels. Highly recommended. I would go and read its sequel(s), but they arn't as good, mainly because Clarke was only advisor not writer.

Maybe I should start with the Robot series by Asimov.

I found this as a toss-away when I used to work for a recycling center 13 years ago.  Used to find a lot of good paperbacks that way come to think of it.

Finished Voyage of The Space Beagle today start next week on Spacial Delivery by Gorden Dickson

VOTSB was a decent read, very fast paced 50's style space opera one of those i wouldnt have put down ( only 150 pages ) if i had had the time to read it through. As it was i took mabey 3 hours total to read the whole thing.

It was.  I read it when I found it.  And Lucas did pull from a variety of religious faiths to create the Force.

Almost finished with The Unifying Force which concludes the war with the Yuuzhan Vong.  Right now, I'm in the middle of the fight to retake Coruscant, though in my opinion, the planet isn't worth saving anymore....

Started reading another book simultaneously, The Andromeda Strain by Michael Crichton.  He's definitely one of my favorite authors now, after I enjoyed A Case of Need and Timeline so much.

Just finished The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. Great read, it you like non-fiction. Something else I finished not long ago is Ringworld by Larry Niven. Fantastic far-future science fiction. Definaltely worth the time to read.

Finished reading The Unifying Force and now have begun the first book of the nine book series Legacy Of The Force, Betrayal. This novel takes place 15 years after the Unifying Force and Ben Skywalker [Luke & Mara Jade Skywalker's son] is Jacen Solo's student as Jacen begins to walk the same path as his grandfather Anakin did...

Oops, I made a booboo.  The book takes place 10 years after the Unifying Force, not 15 like I originally stated.  Forgot the war with the Yuuzhan Vong lasted for 5 years.  I figured this out when the author mentioned that Ben Skywalker was now 13 years old under the apprenticeship of his cousin of Jacen Solo.

Never even heard of him, but regardless, as soon as the series is complete and available in paperback I'm buying them and adding them to my collection.  I have the entire series through book 10.  The only thing I can suggest is to see if your local library has it if you're hesitant on purchasing it.

Nothing except e-mail and forums.  I gave up on Antony and Cleopatra because I am bored with the plot, which seemed to be following historical accounts with dialog thrown in.

My casual reading is currently restricted because of vision problems.  When I get that sorted out, look out.

Getting Andromeda Strain (the movie) within the next 2 days. Currently reading The Hunt for Red October, by Tom Clancy of course  Next up: Five Patients by Michael Crichton.  Am loving technical thrillers right now, especially medical/scientific themes.  Any suggestions?
