If that was SimCity 5, I would be sorely disappointed. SC5 should have darker, lusher, crisper, colors.

its not from city life, its an areil photo that has modifeied, it was probaly created in bring up this conversation or give suggestions for a future game, i realy hope they make a simcity 5 but its ok if they don't becuase websites like this allow you to add things to the game and almost make it look like a new version.

I doubt that this is city life or sc5 because sc5 would probably have better more realistic buildings, and in citylife the pavements on the road should be much wider, but you never know it might be sc5

it is not SC5...notice how the currency is USD...the currency for SC has always been simoleons. since the game is an international game they would likely keep the currency in a neutral fictional currency. that is just one quick observation. also....why was there no link to the site it was found at?

Oh, by the way (its been long enough to do a double post within the rules) I have looked closely at the pic. And it is UK Suburbia, there is even a vehicle on the left. This is far to complex to be SC5. Look for Eccup resivour just north of Leeds.

Wow!  That looks awesome!  There are even diagonal houses for cul-de-sacs!  I hope it is SC5!  When I first saw it it said $ as the currency and I was like "Oh, it's probably just that City Life game..." but SC3 was $ wasn't it?  Oh well, I'll be waiting for some more news!!!

All I know is that Sim City 5 better not be released soon. I want it to have the same attention as Spore has gotten plus DirextX10 would be so cool in it. Imagen how real it could be! The Day and Night feature in Sim City 4 would be 100x better nevermind the flowing rivers and everything else that could be bumped up so a year or two then it would be nice to see.

Looks like a spoof to me... someone either was digging around the net or spending a lot of time in Photoshop. Look at the bottom right corner box in the picture, kinda reminds me of google earth or google maps when a query is zoomed out. I saw one that was more convincing that looked like you were looking at downtown at night. Also it had a Windows Vista Aero high glossy look to it too.

hmmm... the graphics look like a photo of a model town on a desk and the layout's not that good at all. I hope SC5 looks nothing like that but I'm sure a EA will do a great job!

That actually does seem to be an actual screenshot of SC5, I saw a larger version of it on a Chinese website (by google)-and it's definitely comp-animated, with SC style digital console on the bottom portion. I found another supposed screenshot of SC5, and it looks digital because the water looks slightly "not real".
