Excellent work, Alex! I'm in utter amazement by everything in this city journal. The mountains, the intersections, the parks. They all look great. And I must say your smaller areas around the region really mind me of the city I live in. Especially the look of your office parks. Many people don't take the time to design realistic small areas the way you do. If I would have known about this CJ before the Trixies I definitely would have nominated for something. Too bad about the fire, though. Good to see they rebuilt it back.

Looking forward to the next update on this. I hope you get your computer fixed.

We'll just do a quick CPR on the motherboard, wait a moment, ohhhh that's right, I forgot, they are electrical machines, water and electricity just don't mix, and I don't want to be fried I think we will just wait on that new CPR.

I really love the tunnels you make and those really large roundabouts, how do you do that, whenever I make it with the streets it collapses pretty much (I do own NAM).

Great updates and was that avalanche for real or photoshop? I would love disaster in SC4, hehehe.

Flying back from a long vacation, visiting such exotic locales as Miami, Wood County, Paris and Fairbanks. Here's a shot from the plane home, from Vancouver into Calgary International. This is just a shot of the plane passing over Capilano Valley. Not much snow yet, eh?

My foot no snow! On the drive in from Calgary, a blizzard swooped in from the rockies and gave the Valley its first real dumping of the year. Thankfully a chinook later on melted some of the snow but everyone is still slip-sliding everywhere.. good times.

Be sure to check back early next week for the first 100% new content in 4 months! (The keen eye will spot that these are recycled images )

Twister_Chaser: The really large roundabout is the avenue roundabout. It's in the NAM, as is everything. The avalanche is semi-real. It wasn't an animated disaster, but I did plop those rocks purposefully. Hopefully that makes sense.

Beebs, I have been following this for a while and you have done a great job! One question: How do you make your newspaper so that you can display it in your CJ? What software do you use and what methods to you use to go from that program and then to your CJ? I am curious because I will soon be starting a CJ and the idea of a newspaper is something I have tossed around for a while and I really like your implementation.

YOU'RE BACK!!!  AND WELCOME BACK!!!   Can't believe its been so many months since I last saw an update of this CJ.  I just love it!   Nice effect with the plane window, although it does seem as if you're flying from 50,000 feet... well above most flying altitudes...   And I love that snow effect, although it looks more like gray slush instead of snow.  Good times though, good times.

Well, you guessed it.. Iiit's update time!

I'm just purring along with this new beastie. Hopefully no stinkin lighting shorts out the motherboard on this guy! Anyways, lets get on with it.

Ahh, winter. Here's a shot of a residential area in the Valley, after the blizzard hit. Getting you into the Christmas cheer yet? Well you just wait.. soon I'll be posting some shots of some of the better Christmas light displays from around the Valley. Hopefully that will be in the next update!

One of the commercial areas after the blizzard. Apparantly some of the shops have nicely heated roofs too. (I was getting lazy in photoshop, ok?! )

This would be the H3 snaking along the Capilano River. I'll make up a new transportation map for you guys on the next update as well, so you can get your bearings again.

And, well.. it wasn't much.. but it was new.. and so.. That's all, folks!

Mogwai1313: Thank you! I actually just use photoshop for the newspapers. Place the images, add borders, lines, etc. Then I just save it as a jpg and I'm ready to go!

Excellent return of Capilano Valley! The snow you've added there looks great, especially in the residential subdivision. Man, that mosaic is so nice with the large assortment of trees. Keep up the good work, I can't wait for more!
