Welcome,
This is my first CJ, and I hope you will enjoy it.
I have decided to create and run a CJ geographically based on Bohemia, where I live. I know, that most of Simtropolis users are propably Americans, so let me repeat some basic informations about this area.

1.Bohemia is a part of Czech Republic, a state located in Central Europe, and from 2004, proud member of European union.

this is where my country is located:

this is where the Czech republic is located

the flag of our state:

czechlx3.gif

2. Bohemia occupies the western and middle thirds of the
Czech Republic .

3. Capital of Czech Republic is Prague, historical city on the river Vltava, in the middle of Bohemia.

Ok, that's all for today, but very soon detailed images of my region will come.

Oh, Praha, the city of the golden roofs, what a great city- journal!!! My ancestors came from Bohemia (Böhmen), the rest of Russia, Hungary and Bavaria, so...So I am here in the fourth generation of the old K.+K.Imperium (there's a lack of Mid-Europeans at simtropolis), encourauging you to do a replica of Prague. Although it's 2 1/2 hours away (nothing) from my hometown of Graz I like bein'there!!!!! Keep going!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hello everyone,

The time for update has come!

Today, we will take a look at my region in detail, but first the whole region overview:

    regionfinishedme9.jpg

Bohemia has been for centuries protected from his enemies by mountains:

Šumava range on the south-west of the country, Krušné hory on the north-west, and finally Krkonoše on the north-east have functioned as barrier to the foreign soldiers and armies.

    And now, more close-ups

    labe2pq0.jpg

Krkonoše (The Big mountains) is the highest Czech range, with its summit Sn?

Short question: Do you see images in me last post above?

I don't see them, it's weird, I have placed those images (from SC4 Terraformer) on ImageShack and put a link to them in my reply...

I can seen your pictures just fine. Looks like you uploaded the standard .png images from the game, Internet Explorer can't show .png's, but good browsers can. If you want to convert them to .jpg's you can use irfanview.

    Hello everyone,
the time for update has come!
Today, we will take a look at Prague.I have done only about 30% so far.
Prague is the capital and largest city of the Czech Republic. Situated on the Vltavaa river in central Bohemia, it is home to approximately 1.2 million people. (It can be derived from jobs statistics, however, that an additional 300,000 work there without having registered as residents.)

Nicknames for Prague have included "city of a hundred spires" and "the golden city". Since 19922, the historic center of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. According to Guinness World Records, Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle in the world.

This is an overview of Prague, with three district that have been made so far: Old Town, Letná and Vinohrady.

    overviewla1.jpg

More detailed look on the Old town and Vinohrady. The Old town serves nowadays as the commercial and administrative center of Prague. On the other side Vinohrady is prestigious place to live, it is a very pleasant district with lot of park and greenery.Very nice park called "Riegerovy sady" is placed near here. The main railway station functines a border between these two quarters.

    staremestovinohradyff3.jpg

More close-ups on the Old town.

    pravalk2.jpg

    Overall view of Letná district:
There is a very fine park here (called Letenské sady), it's a great place for roller-blading in the summer.
(To say the truth, new national library is not build yet, but the municipality plans to start the construction next year, I attached the visualization below it.

    letnoverviewsc3.jpg

The visualization of the new (real) library from architect Jan Kaplický.

But, now more close-ups of Letná.
The picture below shows Letenský tunel (Tunnel of Letná2.gif which could be very busy during the peaktime, beause it connects residential area on the north to the center of Prague and Old town.

Enjoy, and thanks to all for comments!
