I love the Essen HBF, but I don't recognize the model. May I ask which model you have used for this great station?       Found the name in an earlier post: Tokyo Station

The update is the same quality as all your previous updates. I have also taken a look at your Paris jornal and I am amazed of its detailed reconstruction. I wish I could build half as realistic.

    ESSEN ALTSTADT part 2

I know it has been a while, but after the summer-vacation I have a busy Real-Life schedule so updates won't be as frequent as you used to. But, on the other hand; the updates will show larger and more expanded as before so that's a benefit...

On the edge of "Vierhofer Platz" in "Essen-zentrum Nord"

    essenzentrumclose2kg1.jpg

"Friedrich Ebert-straBe" near the railyards on the north-side of the center..

    essenzentrumclose3cs1.jpg

Western parts of city-centre where "LinderburgstraBe" crosses through older parts of the city.

    essenzentrumplatzel8.jpg

    More to the center; "Kennedyplatz"

Other angle on the same view..

Hard to make the dining look nice on the square's middle piece

    essenzentrumplatzclosept2.jpg

Only trees missing here; I'm just not that good with the Lot-Editor..

That was it for now; next update we'll take a look on the newer side of  "Essen-zentrum"; the CBD (Central Business District) because this city houses after  "Frankfurt am Main" the largest "skyscrapers" of Germany packed together.

So; Stay tuned as I rock you with the next update!!!!

@ LilFlipper: Yes, I'm planning (and building allready) on more outer stretches of the region. "Warner Bros" will NOT be build; this is not on my hand-terraformed region. And also "Hagen" isn't.. Dortmund, Unna, Castrop Rauxel, Gelsenkirchen, Oberhausen, Bottrop and Düsseldorf (maybe Köln) will be build; so stay tuned in the next months.....

@ petriknl: Always cool to hear "it's good" from people who are familiar with the region!! Thanx!

@ KingTitan: previous year I was surprised by getting a Trixie.. And, I think the competetion has grown over the past months for this years Trixie!! Only 1 thing is the difference between the builders here on ST -> They (almost all) don't finish any project. For all I know,  only mr. Beer and Astrianu have finished there real-liked-themed-cities. So, I think determination will be a high standard this years in the Trixie-elections

@ penguin00: It never has been gone.. only, it's not here as frequent; but I WILL CONTINUE!! HELL YEAH!!!!

@ jacqulina: Always nice to see you around. I was experimentating with those ped. streets, I think I'll use them more often from now on

@ Benedict; That's nice!! Because I know how many great CJ's there are nowadays

@ Dsrwhat316: We will rock on, all together now!!

@ suplado!: I've tried the plugin allready in my other region "Paris" but I wasn't satisfied by the result. I will go plop more trees in mayor mode from now on; promise!!

    ESSEN CBD

    essemclosezentrumcbdpj1.jpg

Overview on the area, doesn't look German does it with all those highrises?? Well, it's really all there in reallife!!

Another total-shot, with in foreground the main-station that's between old & new city-center

A nice shot looking towards old town on a cold day in autumn....

Well... Got rocked?? Next update will contain the information on the city of Essen and some random-shots that I choose of the city. After that we'll be travelling eastwards where we encounter the next city to follow -> BOCHUM!!

Wow - nice pics. I think the more grey look adds character to your city, many English cities are like that in a way.

    Keep up the great work!

Looking so German! The Essen CBD is cool... can you make a nightlight picture perhaps because in reallife I think the skylines rocks when you drive on the highway.. btw heavy traffic.... traffic generator or how many live there in your region?
