Well, the work I had done on the State Theater (the one in Detroit, by the way) got turned into my Griffin Building, so that's dead. And I haven't seen hide nor hair of budweiserdude since early last year, so I think Michigan Stadium is on ice as well. 34.gif

I don't think a website is really neccecary, since Simtropolis is the biggest SC4 fansite, and where the people who download things go, and where the people who make things go.  It's also free for us, and more convienient to maintain.  And I know I won't pay for our own site!! 18.gif  quote>

Well, just got into SC4(DE), and then found your group (was looking for the Ypsilanti Water Tower)...  I am wondering how the Michigan Stadium and State Theater are doing...?

Also, have you thought of hitting up the local businesses (Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti/Detroit) about sponsoring your works?  (Heck, if you double dip in Second Life...)  Not only is it cool for us to see, but I could see the Ypsi-Arbor Bowling people or The Brown Jug maybe paying a bit to get some exposure like this.....quote>

17.gifHello everybody....

I highly doubt the jug would pay for it. Besides, South U is pretty much a wasteland at the moment. I should know, I run the 19 story hunk of junk over there.

^ How much are rents for studio or 1 bedroom apartments in that 19 story hunk of junk over there. I'm looking for a place to live.

Wow, no wonder several of my friends are crammed in a one room apartment in that place.

Love the work you guys have done. Anybody thinking of putting together a BAT of the old Hudson's building in Detroit?

I still have Hudsons (I've been recovering some nice color images of detailing on it for texture.

budweiserdude, I hate your stupid P.O.S tower. Because it flooded tonight, my friends called, I have 3 displaced residents staying at my house right now. I guess it's raining down floor to floor.

Yehah I hate that place too. It pays the bills (kinda, I'm way underpaid for the crap I put up with) but it's a a real POS. I got called in for six hours for that flood since some dumb girl left her window open and froze the fire suppresion lines which then exploded. Got to miss the U-M vs. ND hockey game I had tickets to as well. What a swell time...

Will do, it's gonna be several more days unfortunately. The water still hasn't completely dried but it's close...then begin the balance of the repairs.

As an Ann Arborite I feel obligated to take part in this project. Only problem is I don't much like the architecture around here 3.gif

If people need reference on the Michigan stadium I may be able to help, my high school is across the street. PS, you guys know that uber ugly addition their putting on? God, what a monstrosity.

You'd be surprised that most of the people working on this project are from Ann Arbor.   I'm actually living near Kerrytown.

budweiserdude was working on Michigan Stadium.  Not sure why he stopped..either because he is busy or waiting for more details on renovations.

Wolverine:  Looking forward to seeing it!

Scipio:  Yeah, it's too bad about that.  I don't think there are any buildings that you would want to do, and trust me I've thought about this before.  3.gif

Good eye bigskelding! Yes, it is John Campbell, my old grade school. When they moved the classes to Lowe in December so they could renovate this building, I decided to colourize a photo of the school from when if first opened in 1927. I liked the end result so much I thought I'd use it as my avatar. I've been trying to use bits of Windsor history for my avatars lately; the last avatar I had was the sign for Epps hunting shop which was a classic part of downtown, now known as Cheetah's.

Jason, wolverine and I are all in A2, actually.

It's a shame there isn't anything you'd want to model, because it'd be great to have you on the project! Is there anything in another Michigan city you'd be interested in? I know A2 is limiting, but there's a few nice modern buildings in ... Grand Rapids? lol

There is one possibility.... On South U there's the Amstedamertije, a building that for only god knows why was built like an Amsterdam House 3.gif

Naw, I'll think about it. The new high school actually where my little brother wants to go, is supposed to be really nice. Might be nice to have a modern steel and glass high school.

Yeah, I'm retexturing the roof, and tweaking/completing some other textures. There is also some modeling that needs to be corrected/redone. I also need to model the base. All in all though, it's pretty far along. I want to work on it, but I've distracted myself with other projects, lol.
