Brand new thread for the AGS Stadium gallery...

I think I've turned over a new leaf, and rounded the bend that'll launch me into 4th Gen BATs, where I can start to make actual places. The pressure of doing so with no bat skills was too much before, but I'm starting to get it down. As new fields are under construction or made, I'll post them here. And if you have any requests for easy, small-ish fields, I'll consider them. I don't think I'm ready for a premier league, NFL, or MLB sized venue, so please don't demand any great wonders.

Any titles without links lead to broken files, which are either already locked, or should be.

Whew. Glad those days are done with - even if they are less than two years old!

Lol, wow, I'd known you'd done lots of good stadiums (many of which I use), but I hadn't known there were so many. Nice stuff.

here is a link to the website that has dimensions- http://pawsox.com/stadium/?pawsox_session=7b19acd4694cfeb33c2526d42c4ea047

Ol' McCoy is definitely do-able for me. The main bowl looks a lot like the one I just released, an nothing in it seems too complex. Great idea.

Haha thanks. i'm not expecting anything, but just throwing it out there, it'd be nice to see. if you do decide to do it, then awesome, if not, then i'm sure whatever you come out w/ next will be just as good if not better.

i was thinking that there should be a major legue park besides the standard maxis one. i was hoping if its possible that you can create AT&T Park Home of the San Francisco Giants.

well if ud like to give a try theres a challenge u never know what u can do unless u try..3.gif

for a smallish field quite advanced u can attempt raley field home of the sacramento river cats AAA (A's), that way u can make ur way up to the big parks.

One problem with a lot of newer baseball fields, in every league, is that they are built below street level. I don't know how to get around that.

^BAT it sunken? So long as you cut the LOD's correctly, it shouldn't be an issue...

Custom LODs are easy enough...but all you really need to do is bat the building sunken and then make even a sidewalk or a small stretch of grass around the sides at street level and it will work for you....and you can do regular LODs.

Lacrosse field ended up okay, but not great, so I didn't classify it at the highest level. But that's alright. The BAT needs more fields that aren't blockbusters.

I'm really not sure what the next project is gonna be; might re-do Pizza Hut Park.

Still not sure what's going on. I designed, modeled, and exported the Horseshoe in less than an hour, so that was a little spotaneous thing.

My next project is a series of soccer/football fields. One European, and one American.

ie, one aesthetically pleasing...and one european field. Seriously, I know you guys need the big rooves, but add a little light somewhere every now and then.

The Phase Two field is looking great, but just taking forever to accomplish anything due to the load and lag. I've got twenty rows of seats encompassing the ENTIRE field, so the rate is turning sluggish.

The seating and shell of the stadium is complete. Might copy that stand on the small side and add it to the ends as well, if I feel like it.

    >

Wish it wouldn't keep coming out like that. Still have to complete supports for the other two ends of the seats, and create the buildings under the main stand, which I'm dreading with the lag as bad as it is already.

Well, I'm done. All of the glass I used for the luxury boxes and the exterior building turned out to be crap, but the boxes are under cover, and I'm putting trees around the building, so it doesn't really matter The thing was just too big to edit down any more.

Honestly, is anyone even reading this? Anyway, all my recent uploads have bombed pretty badly, and I'm low on feasible ideas for a moment, so I'm gonna take a break for a bit.

I read this 19.gif. I like to see what other stadium makers are doing.

And I wouldn't say your last upload bombed at all. I mean, if you got the lines on the pitch worked out, and maybe a better texture on it, it would be a 10.

Perhaps you could do an athletics stadium in a similar style to your last football one? Or will the polys kill you? Or maybe alter on of your models to be an American Football field. The community is crying out for those.

Just some ideas, since you said you had none 2.gif.

I'd like to do more football fields, but I'm awful at making textures for them. One of my goals is to make fields for almost every sport, which I'm slowly progressing through, so I want to do a CFL-style, Canadian Football field before I do another American one. Differences are pretty subtle, but I think Canadians will like that.

Are your fields complete textures then? 'Cause I find it easiest just to have a grass textured rectangle, then use the line and circle tools in BAT to make the pitch markings. I dunno how complicated American/Canadian Football markings are though.
