Example of how realistic this city is: I was looking at this CJ at work and my boss walked by and asked what part of the world the stallite photos were from. Keep up the good work. Very well put together

wonderful city...I also prefer "green" style cities ...no wonder that Jacqulina loves it so much..are those neat british family houses plopable? what is their name? I would love to download them from STEX .... I cant wait to use them in my green "garden" city.......

I know I'd see this cj coming my way when I saw it in the "Show Your Accomplishments!" thread! 4.gif And you've brought it to all of my expectations! Beautiful beautiful pictures! And the downtown is too good for words to describe, so I'll just give you a drooly smilie: 25.gif

Nice looking downtown. Is it grown or plopped? Looks good, I'll be looking forward to more in the future.

    UpdateBanner3.jpg

Hey everyone, it is time for my third update - there is lots to show, so I will get on with it...

football_fever - Thank you, that's pretty cool if thats true, I appreciate it!

jacqulina - Thanks again Jacky for always being so nice!

lennon801208 - Hey, thank you - those houses are gascookers UK Suburbia Pack, they do look really nice!

Gecko_2006 - Thanks for the drooly smile, and thank you very much for the great comments!

connor_v - The downtown is about half grown and half plopped.  I plop the civic buildings, of course, and then I plop the buildings that I want to give the downtown a certain distinct look, and let the rest grow.  If something grows that takes away from the appearance that I was wanting, I bulldoze it.  Thanks for the response!

Schulmanator - The Schulmanator!  Thanks alot, I like the "rocking" comment!

BlondeTwiggy - Thanks Twigster - yeah I'm from OK, from Tulsa (thats the city in my avatar).  I had a feeling you probably liked shopping, I mean you are female right?  1.gif

    Hawkeye9 - Thanks Hawkeye!

mayorron - Thank you, lol - actually the downtown was there during my first two updates, I was just keeping it out of the picture!

Camedia - Thanks again for commenting!

Okay, now for the pics - I will give as little description as possible and let the pictures do the talking...

The more I see, the more I like. What kind of rock mod are you using? I never downloaded one because I never saw one that I liked. But that just changed...

Hm... I could have sworn I replied to this...34.gif

Anyway, Excelsior Park looks fantastic. The little lake is nice. And the fact that you surrounded it with apartments is realistic. You don't find many parks nowadays that don't have development in them unfortunately.

    UpdateBanner4.jpg

Time for the long overdue update number 4!  In this update I have continued expanding west, and have created a new area called the Spring Creek District.  I will get to the pics following the replies as usual...

mayorron - Thanks for the encouraging words, I appreciate it!

gurrgkud - Thanks alot, gurrgkud - hope you like this update too!

newyorkrunaway1 - Thanks, and sorry to keep you waiting!

BlondeTwiggy - Thanks Twigster, I knew you were a girl - I was just messing with you... and I have another shopping center for you in this update, it's another small one though.

Hawkeye9 - Thank you, glad you like it!

football_fever - Hey that's good to know!  I am using PEG's Limestone from his rock mod 1 pack (an oldie but a goodie).

Gecko_2006 - don't sweat it, that happens to me too!  I'm glad you liked the park area, I thought it turned out decent - and I know what you mean about the parks!

Meastro444 - Hey Meastro, thanks for the comments - that is PEG's Limestone from his Rock Mod 1 - it's old but it should still be on the STEX.

Pic4.1 - Here is the first pic showing the Spring Creek District before any development...

    4up1.jpg

Pic4.2 - This is the current state of  development so far...

    4up2.jpg

Pic4.3 - This pic shows the future site of the Spring Creek Plaza shopping center...

    4up3.jpg

Pic4.4 - and this is after development...

    4up4.jpg

Pic4.5 - night shot of the same area...

    4up5.jpg

Pic4.6 - Spring Creek Parkway runs parallel to the creek...

    4up6.jpg

Pic4.7 - Here is the view at night once again...

    4up7.jpg

Pic4.8 - Some mixed use residential and commercial developments have sprung up along the North bank of the creek, this is currently the most prime real estate in Aqua Vista...

    4up8.jpg

Pic4.9 - Here is the night view...

    4up9.jpg

Pic4.10 - Looking East down the creek...

    4up10.jpg

Pic4.11 - A final overview of the area, as you can see there is plenty more sites in this district yet to be developed, but planning is underway!

    4up11.jpg

Sorry if that was too many pics, but I would love to hear any comments!

I like the effect of the water. Since the shores are so close the waves overlap. Very nice little strip mall. I don't have any transit enabled parking lots, so those shops always have to go on the street. I like what you did there.

Great use of green space and water. This is a verythoughtfully designed town. The rocks on the water's edge are great - a nice choice of rock mod.

I really like how everything butts up against the hill and follows the shore of the river. Splitting the road into two one ways was also an interesting and uinique idea.

    Looking forward to more
