HamptonMap.png?t=1262488717.jpg

This is the Hampton City Rail Transit Map (unfinished) All Metro lines terminate at St. Margarita Station with the exception of the Hawthorn East-West Line.

The first line to be built went from St. Margarita to Cantertown Junction. It was then later extended to McKinnon.

The next line to be built went to Newport. The McKinnon Line was then extended to Renfall with the Nunchuk Ground Station built later with the stadium.

When ProLogic Stadium was built, a rail link was seen desirable, so a branch line from Lyndon Park was built. Meanwhile the Renfall line was expanded to Hawthorn. A branch line was built from Cantertown to Cantertown East.

The Elderwyck/Burnside district was growing east of McKinnon, so a branch line was sent off that, which saw the opening of 5 more stations.

Eastcape was growing, & a line was built there from Hawthorn. This is currently the only Metro line not to terminate at St. Margarita station. The line was extened westwards to Falcon Junction. This line would later follow a route that serviced Lemur & Dolphin Beach. The other track is now used for express services.

The ProLogic line was extended to Gryphon Bridge. It saw little usage, so the track between Kew & Sentry was dismantled, & rebuilt along a route that saw it curve inwards towards Madden. It is now used quite frequently along that section

Pawton (originally a regional station) became part of the metro network. The line to Maple Point is now under Metro service.

The west was practically uninhabited until houses sprang up by Highbury Creek, so another line was built Southend to Highbury. As the Cayenne Fwy was built, the line went south to Cayenne.

The Cantertown East line was extended to Levington when that area became populated.

The last piece of the puzzle was the Mueller Lake line. Branching from Highbury, it was achieved somewhat late in the Metro History, after several extensions, it now serves Westbank, Naramira & Garfield.

Alright, here is Capitol's Underground (Information available at my city journal, look for Oriska)

capitolunderground.jpg

The pressures and over abundance of traffic from the outskirts and all over the City State was overbearing for the smaller city to handle, as a result, Legislation was pushed through to introduce a mass transit system for the whole City State which equalled over two-million kilometres of transitway bus priority system. With over 300 buses running into the town core leaving very little movement for the pedestrian and vehicular traffic along the arteries, it was than later decided that an extensive Subway system would be introduced to alleviate the pressures.
To encourage ridership, the City State of Oriska had decided to Introduce the Free Fare Zones, Sans Tarif Zone to encourage ridership to and from their destination. When Boarding within the Zones the Riders are not charged. Getting on anywhere else within Capitol varies in price but not more than 1.50$ SSD, at anytime.
With the creation of the Capitol Underground, it leaves room for extensive expansions, and intergration with Surface Operations. It instantly removed 47 routes upon her conception, and in the long run, 16 years later it has reduced the 1000 buses per hour to 500 per hour. The overall goal is to have solely 250 buses per hour, just local ones beginning at Campus Station and moving to Gaffin Park and Ride. It is said the completion of the Subway system will be year 2030 (Capitol).

Regional Roads

OriskaRoadNetwork.jpg

Now for the big treat, 90 years after my initial update, it shows the cities and their expansions within the region. Creating an Extensive road network, part of the Moving Oriska Master Plan, it shows solely the surface operations (Road Only) full details of this project will be released later this year. For the mean time, Yellow represents inner city main arteries, Purple represent Oriska Rural Highway Network (Also known  as Oriska Roads) Red is the Highway system funded by the Federal Governments, and Blue is the Extensive Transitway System in Existance.

Please note that several projects are underway, and the transitway system is bound to change due to availability and necessity.

@Yoshi, because this runs through the Capitol City and there is a large setting or Parliament there. here check it out in the City Journal, https://www.simtropolis.com/cityjournals/?p=view&id=843&page=4 there it has the history and the inception of a Capitol Region for the City State. As for my limitations with Paint, aye it is very limited, but with a limited income I am not willing to spend extra on Paint like programmes. However should you have any ideas or programs that you use to make it simpler or more 'creative' I am open for the discussion.

I must admit, the zoom out view is much  better because I cannot begin to compulsively read anything and everything I see on the map (which makes that one boring very quickly).  The map looks very good, with smooth, consistent curves, the quality is certainly noteworthy; but the layout is somewhat bland.  Except for the coastline, the first city I thought to compare it with was Phoenix.  I like to joke that if you can count to 100 and know your ABCs, then you know your way around phoenix, but that city would strip all humor from that statement.

i'm not an American, so I wouldn't know what Pheonix is like. The central roundabout reminds me of Dunedin, NZ.

Undie 500 from Canterbury Uni involved cars worth less than NZ$500 pub-crawling to Dunedin, including going up Baldwin St (or as far up as they could before they died - most didn't make it), so yes - been there 4.gif

FYI, this is just a 2.5 mile by 2.5 mile area, core of the city. As the city grows, it will undoubtly change. Yes the names are boring but this is the case of most early american cities that have used this grid system as a base. The "google map" is set up that it will change as I update the changes to the city. My attempt was to make a realistic google style map to enhance the CJ experience. Also I am constantly updating and adding the public buildings and landmarks to the map as I do in the SC4 game. Thanks to all who have enjoyed this creation.

I have absolutely no problem with the grid layout & I fully understand that its a downtown & the outer city will not follow this rule, my complaint is that all streets have a numerical name.

Wow, all these maps are really awesome and inspiring..Here's a map I made for my city banlieue..perhaps for an upcoming CJ or so..don't know yet. It's by far not finished as some station names are missing and some of lines aren't terminating within the area the map shows so far...just showing what I've got so far..

Thanks guys!

And yoshi, the light grey line is commuter rail or normal ground rail and is supposed to link downtown to the suburbs in opposite to the subway, which doesn't reach out that far.

Nice map! The rivers in the pic are very freeform, something you usually don't see in a transit map. (It's not a bad thing).

What laguage is it in? It looks like a Scandinavian language (its not German).
