i am in killerpeg i have never been to your city but i been to calgary loads of times but i have to say what a sweet ass cj you got going i had no clue edminton had a subway let alon a trian system i just whent through your hole cj lol far nicer city then winnipeg in many ways but atleast we got the first sky scraper in western canada still standing remnince of the boom days of the early 1900's i gota figur out how to do my city of winterpeg anyways cg on your award and your 100,000+ views

Edmonton - Canada Day 05'

We went downtown to watch the fireworks last night along with the HighLevel Bridge Water fall which is taller then Niagra. No where near the ammount of water or width but still an impressive man made water fall. There was thousands of people lining the river valley to watch the fireworks. Since its Alberta's 100th aniversary they put on a great show. The weather was nice with a great thunder storm sitting to the west aswell. Seems every Canada day here its clear and warm but with lightning sarounding the city?!

I was too watching the fireworks and i saw the storm..I am actually in the west of the city so i was quite close when i went home haha..

 

but Canada day was soo fun a bunch of my friends and me went down to Sylvan Lake for the day and just hung out on the beach..it was beautiful until about 3.30 .. than storms started blowing in, and it wasn't fun anymore so we headed back haha

 

but back on topic the fireworks were quite cool but i missed the Waterfall, does it only run during the day?

Stunning work! I like the pics of the 'Chuck as well. I had no idea how bright it is there @ 3:00 am. Here in Calgary, there's just a glow on the horizon at that time. Sorta bright but nothing like that.

I love this CJ and I look to it for inspiration for my own.  I think that you should check out the diagonal streets mod though, its in the modding - transit forum and would look great in this journal.

Street Performers Festival

 

Edmonton is known as the city of festivals. We have something going on nearly everyday of the summer with some of them being north america's or the worlds largest type of that festival...

 

The Edmonton International Street Performers festival is the worlds largest of its kind. It attracts performers from around the globe. Held in the heart of Edmonton at Sir Winston Churchill Square infront of city hall.

 

As the summer goes by I will take pictures from different events and festivals and give all of you a feel for the city. This city journal as always in in the works. But as UCS takes away my time this summer I will be showing alot of previously made areas and pictures from around the city.

I really curious to know how you set up a region like this? Is there a Mod or something that allows you to build transportation systems, schools, hospitals, etc... without spending money? I would really love make my own region like this but really don't know how to get it started.

Edmonton CJ Listed as Top 5 CJ's

 

I was shown the definition of SimCity4 the other day on Wikipedia. It goes on to talk about City Journals and names the 5 most posted on the internet. I was really happy to see Edmonton among the list.

I really have the urge to play the region lately, but with UCS and a busy summer sched I don't have the time to get deep into it. I should begin a fast pace come September...I have some new lots, bats and mods I want to add to help the region be more realistic aswell.... Keep posted as always.
