I was watching High Fidelity and laughed at their obsession with "top 5's", so I thought why not combine the two...and how many times you've seen it.

2) Lord of the Rings: Return of the King - 4 times (twice at cinema)

3) Metropolis (the original) - 14 times

4) Star Wars Ep IV - 32 times

5) Citizen Kane - 9 times

I don't watch movies very often, but I did like Some Kind of Monster, and Iron Maiden DVD, Godzilla and most Adam Sandler movies.

Titanic - maybe because I have all the history books and models. A Night to Remember and the television miniseries S.O.S. Titanic are more accurate with less love-triangle melodrama, but James Cameron still manages a truly engrossing and overwhelming event movie.

Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back - the best of the series brought us Yoda, Cloud City, the Super StarDestroyer, and the coolest father-son confrontation in cinema. Of course, I was always a fan of the Empire, so its good to see them smack the rebels around after losing the Death Star (to a single torpedo! What next...space armadas wiped out by j-pop singer Minmei).

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring - the whole series is awesome, as are Tolkien's books, but the opening first movie has the best atmosphere of adventure and impending doom.

Dune - David Lynch's movie is agreeably an expensive mess, but Frank Herbert's series of books is impossibly dense with complicated material. However, this still has the definitive visuals for Herbert's feudal universe in the year 10191, and the Guild Navigator in his melange tank is just too cool!  And it has music by TOTO!

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure - Whoa, dude, no way! Yes, I grew up with this silly harmless movie, emulate the slacker-dude voices, suck at air-guitar, sport the hopeless shaggy hair, and have all the stupid lines memorized. So-crates: the only true wisdom consists of knowing that you know nothing...that's us dude!  Yes it is.

Never recorded how often I have watched anything, but I've stressed and the stretched the VHS tapes of these enough to finally buy DVDs. Alien, Topsy-Turvy, The Last Emperor, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Amadeus, Ran, The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, and quite a few others get their fair share of use as well.

Monte Python's In Search of The Holy Grail

IMO, the two trilogies can be watched as one movie, in the same sense of the Kill Bill movies, Star Wars or Richard Lester's Three Muskateer movies. In fact, to just watch one of any of those movies is a shame.

^ LOL Yes i agree, I first saw him in 'What's eating Gibert Grapes' longtime back, I knew this guy had something. then of course people have gone crazy after him since Pirates of the Caribbean movie came out. especially the girls, they just start screaming when they see him...

Have you seen 'Finding never land' ? I thought that was a good movie. It also starred Kate Winslet and Johnny Depp.

Personally, I couldn't stand the second and third Matrix Movies, I thought that they were just a load of special effects with no real storyline whereas the first one was an intense look into the idea of reality.

As well as Finding Neverland, check out Chocolat with Juliette Binoche...I'm a blokey but I loved this film...for  a more violent JD, check out Once upon a time in Mexico.
