Yesterday I got the Gmax bible and on the Cd was a microsoft game pack called trainz. Been reading the Book and it been really helpful their some real nice looking engines and boxcars so I might try making props first with the bat and if I do I want you to be the first one to judge them. Thanks for all the great boxcars.

I am honored that my little fishie ended up on a boxcar at all.   The Oscar's brand-name with the target in the O is something I'd never have thought of, and I like it.  I only hope that as I get better with iLive, that I can contribute back to this community more - since the BAT came out there's been a vacuum in modding, so I think I'll work in that area for now. 

 

Part of the problem may well be that I passed Trolca a poor GIF to begin with - all the good pictures I could find were copyrighted and I didn't want to infringe, so I ended up using an image from the US Dep't of the Interior.  Best I could find without disrespecting someone.  It is the source of my avatar, though.

 

If h's going to try another pass at it, that's up to him.  The last thing I want to do is be another voice pestering him to do things when he's already putting in 100% above and beyond the call of duty with Euro, light-rail, and SimMars things.  Bad enough that I tagged a request onto his old Dirt streets thread.

EDIT: Well, I'll throw in one request, but it doesn't involve anything extra beyond what you're already doing: It seems to me, that the rail company on Mars should be called Trolca Terrestrial Transport or somesuch, and the cars themed appropriately, perhaps with a nod to Dearnen thrown in somewhere.  No one deserves the honor more, says me.

Ok, i can understand the reasoning behind your response. Frogface (I think) posted an image of a train from the Harrogate area i believe, about 200 miles from me. Trains in my area are the same design, but a slightly different colour scheme

Network South-East (late 80's - early 90's)

Whoever recommended SCC, from what i've seen there, they only have continental trains, which are far quicker and different in design usually,

UK trains are only 1 deck high, due to bridge height, and the Intercity 125 is one of, if not the fastest Train in service except the Eurostar in the UK (so called because it goes at 125mph)

Sorry about the image sizes, can't shrink them (not confident in how to do so) but at this size, details should be clearer anyway.

Any of these please, i'd be very grateful
(oh, and i know Central colours have already been done by Frogface with Commutex written on it so don't point this out)

nah the train i posted is a South Central train.

the problem is with all these different train companies here everyone is gonig to start requesting thier local train companies ingame. its up to Trolca to decide which train does get picked but i'd go for the British rail colour scheme cos thats more neutral.

As for Uk, as im a Uk'er ,
I think a general motors class66 or a class37 for freight would be neat! maybe a 47!

Passenger, class43 with mk3's (intercity 125) or some EMU's or DMUs, although EMus need overhead wires hehe. like the ones in the photographs in the earlier post (class170s and 315)

Keep it up! Are there any SP locos yet? Ive got some Trainz skins of some of my own works , i wonder if i could cut bits from my skin to make a SP loco. I have no idea how to reskin locos for Sim City though

raised rails?  no elevated rail is a separate network to normal rail. so trains mods dont work on those .but ages ago i made a subway mod which does replace those trains.

The Last Car Variety mods are pre Rush Hour. The way to find them is goto the Mods page, at the top between Main Index and News is MODS. Click on MODS, scroll half way down the long list and you should see Trolca's Train Set. It should include those Mods.

 

I dropped the Last Car Variety mods for Rush Hour because they're not needed. Most of the multi car packs have one car with the caboose property.

Yes, but if you don't want cabooses to ever appear at all, you still need the LastCarVarietyNoCaboose.dat
