Trolca, how about making an engine to put at the end of the train, ie make it a caboose. Would this be possible?
Also, what about adding a 2nd engine to the front, I don't know if this is possible but it would be neat.

The only thing I can think of is you have the mods that make freight engines behave like the track checker which randomly move about solo

Okay, but izz there a way to remove that modd or moddzz to allow my frieght to run together?

For passenger service the number of people traveling by rail will effect how many and the size of the trains. For freight, each industry looks for the fastest way to get it's product to the edge of the map. If by train is the fastest, that industrial lot will use it.

Kool, I did check to see if the railzz were even being used and they are(by both frieght and passenger), but still no box-carzz showing up just the engine(and no passenger(train or engine at all). But i do see the occasional rail checker like you said previously.
Also, i tried to take every single plug-in and mod that was in the "program file" plug-in out and to avail no boxcarzz( or passenger train still).

    I converted your JPG into a FSH file, I created an Alpha channel for it. I also created a night skin which doubles as its own Alpha channel. It would be more obvious if the windows weren

    Here is an Amtrak engine pack.
     
    There are four engines.
     
    The first two (one of each of the last two models) will replace the original passenger engine and only one of these should be used at a time.
     
    The other two each have their own ID and can be used with one of the first two for up to three different engines.
     
    I'm not posting any pictures because they are already in this thread.

    If you open the DAT file with the Ilive reader, in the Exempler you'll see the line "Headlight Model Resource Key" that links the S3D file which links to the FSH file. I copied it from the subway car and changed it.

    Please post the ID's of the engines that will replace the original. When I look inside the zip file it seems that the first two engines have totally different dats and the last two have more similar numbers.

    Sorry about the error. For an engine to replace the original it must have an Instance number of 109A0000 which translates to my ID of 109A00. The earlier ones with the the ID of 109800 are wrong. If you looked at them with the reader you would see they have the Instance number of 109A0000.

    I'm not so sure about passenger trains. I'm pretty sure I tried to convert it to passenger some time ago but was not able to. This works for freight trains.

    With the Ilive Reader change the OccupantGroups  too 0x00004000,0x00004002,0x0000421A. The 0x0000421A is the key to making the car show up last. If there is more than one car with this number, one will be randomly picked.

    Again I only had this work with freight trains.

    The front is very complex, over all, it's very good work.

    ok the green train is not made by trolca. i made the texture and i just wanted him to put it in game. you can get the proper train with front and everything from my city journal thread see my sig and scroll to the bottom. hope that makes things clear! So PLZ download it from there! thanks

    I dunno if its on this topic, but is there any replacement for the Steam train?

    I think the steam trains in the game don't have tenders, but that type does, also the steam engine looks like its from 1800.

    Both my Bay Line and CP Rail sets have a freight engine that replaces the steam engine.

    I'd like to download that Commutex train, and see it in addition to the Amtrak and modified original trains I already have.  Trolca, can you make it so you have three varieties of trains and cars, but they only appear together with the matching set?  For example, make it so that the Commutex train engine always appears only with the Commutex cars and the Amtrak engine only with the Amtrak cards and not the Commutex cars, etc.  Sorry to be so confusing.

    A new transportation set would need to be created first. All my work has been limited to Exemplars, S3D and FSH files. I'm not sure it can be done by any of Mod Squad members with their current knowledge. I was thinking of projects like this by converting either the Monorail, Subway or El train, but I'm not even sure how that would work yet.

    I'd like to make that Commutex replace anything that that Amtrak did not.

    I would like some feed back on this.
    I got side tracked on doing requests. I'll be offering a new road name soon. In this set is a new type of car which is for cattle or livestock. The car is also 50 feet instead of 40. I'll also be creating 50 foot box cars as well.
     
    The road name is Rocky Road, as in Rocky Mountain Railroad.

    Trolca, why would you need to make a tender, when you could make a steam engine that doesn't need one, like Thomas the tank3.gif

    It would just be like your shunter, except it is in the shape of a steam engine of course.

    Hello i made the Commutex train as part of my city journal . If you want the DAT its in my city journal BUT for convienience i'll put it here. And its also Udrive it compatible.

    I'm not sure if the lack of feedback on the cattle cars is a good or bad sign.
     
    Here is the Rocky Road cattle car set. The five car set has ID numbers 109BA0 to 109BA4.
    These are what I call 50 ft cars. The standard box cars appear to be 40 ft.

    I don't know trolca....the cattle cars look good (wishes he could have a 14 car train of just those), but as for the rocky road name i'll definately download any cars, but not the engines; I'm gonna keep to real road names for those 2.gif

    Why is it that I have...um...lemme see...bayline, conrail and CP, but 90% of all trains have CP engines? 23.gif I havent got any of the ones that replace the original 10AA00 engine.

    I love the amtrak...is it an FP40? I dunno...the one with the bonnet 2.gif

    Also, I downloaded the platform lot off the LE, but while it doesn't handle any passengers per se, its just there for effect, the little track detecting machines (or in my case thanks to your mod, engines (all CP for some reason?) appear on each one....it kinda hampers the passenger train movements...

    P.S. whats next on the list? 2.gif
