I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free!

Happy Independence Day!

Eh, let's not dwell on what Constantina did. I'm sure she didn't mean it, and has learnt a lesson and all that. Posting repeatedly about it detracts from the mood and renders us off-topic.

Tomorrow, I shall be going to a Baltimore Symphony Orchestra concert, outdoors, where they will play patriotic music and the 1812 Overture choreographed with fireworks. I went yesterday as well, but there was a severe cloudburst that ended the concert in the tenth minute. 4.gif

Awesome! I'm going to go to the "Freedom Over Texas Festival" to watch the fireworks in downtown Houston! It's the largest display of fireworks in the nation!

Sorry we missed it, but we were up at Jacky and katie's cabin fishing for nothing.  Anyway, however belated, happy Independence Day to our American friends.  Did you know that Ben Franklin was once the military governor of Montreal?

You know it! The little siblings had one too many sparklers less than 10 feet ( approx. 3.3 metres ) from me. Ick.

For a small town with a population of around 850, there were probably around 10,000 people in the area today. 4.gif Talk about a population jump! Will Wright would be proud.

Happy Belated Independence Day! Minneapolis/St. Paul was a lit by many many many fireworks shows as most urban, suburban and even some rural areas were. It was a blast to go swimming, enjoy an awesome bon fire and hang out with friends.

What will happen if Discovery breaks up upon re-entering? It worries me. Let's hope it goes well.

Now, my first message went off the track so let me finish on what I was going to say.

Firstly, Happy Independence day to all Americans (USA, especially).

Secondly, I feel America has done a bit of good to Cairo, but could do better.

Man, after the "Freedom Over Texas Festival", there was smoke everywhere. Even driving down the interstate was a headache because of all the smoke combined with the fog and later on, the rain.

    Hope everyone enjoyed it! 1.gif

Btw, I'm just a little curious, but what does helping Cairo and Bush (edit: Which I just noticed was taken out) have to do with Independence Day? 4.gif

Nothing whatsoever Micah, just another attempt by Constantina to state her opinion., despite having the last one deleted ! and even the opinion above by this member has had two sentances deleted !

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra fireworks were even better than our municipal ones!

Actually the spelling is TOTALLY UNCERTAIN.. no matter how you spell it today... VERY FEW people could spell and the "scribes" wrote down what they heard.. You will find virtually every name spelled in numerous variations.. AND they change over time as well.. So much for black and white.. (not to mention that languages themselves have changed)

Oh,, *thinks hard on what COULDN"T be better* .. LOL. how silly

Hope ALL enjoyed INDEPENDENCE DAY and its true meaning.. not just the fireworks.. (or your political opinion.. be glad you can have it!!)
