Hi there! Your city journal is pretty nice, I like the way you lay out the different districts and zoning. It's good to see a city journal with less emphasis on a whole pile of large skyscrapers...Your downtown of Duchati definitely looks great with a small concentration of office towers. It's a good thing too for your city to use wind power...Much cleaner than putting a coal-burning power plant right next door. Hmm, wonder what hammer thinks of the hotel, lol. Well, I can't wait to see more development of your cities! I'll come by every once in a while to see what updates you have made here. You're doing great, so keep it up! 36.gif

*By the way, congratulations on reaching page 2!*

Nice region. The treelines near the highways add lots of green to the suburbs... I like that.
The downtown area lacks a middle-sized middle-density area (pun intended) if I can remark, the transition from green to concrete is a bit too abrupt. Although that's a minor issue, it is nevertheless very nice. Even though I'd like to see some scum, dirt and pollution! Let's see how bad you can make another city!10.gif18.gif

You build your diamond interchanges like I do; I like that! I also like you have expanded some avenue-road intersections to add more capacity immediately at the intersection, similar to what one might see in real life. Nice layout overall.

    Time to stop lurking...

This has got to be one of my favorite CJs out there right now. Your attention to detail is impeccable, and your city-building skills are excellent. Expect to see more comments from me in the future, and keep up the great work!

this is a great cj, the lack of skyscrapers (so unlike my own cities 3.gif) and the nice layout is really great. I also love those parks and forested areas. Keep it up. 19.gif

Thanks J.O.!! Well if it wasnt for one of the custon golf course lots i wouldnt have gotten that idea. Plus in most cities there is a tree or wall barrier between the highway and the surrounding buildings... i decided to use trees.
About the transition everyone knows that its hard to get it like that with the way the zoning goes with this game. I tried my best19.gif. Well once im done with Duchati which will prolly be the biggest city ill do that and ill name it after you! lol jk

Thanks oroen!! Well thats what i get for paying close attention to detail on those trips lol. I used to draw intersection and highway interchanges all the time. This is one thing im really interested in. So if i wasnt really anygood at SC4 id prolly play just to make intersections! 9.gif

Thanks boggy1!! Well its good to see you post here... Yes i did use photoshop, and i love it! Well Duchati reminds me of my own town Charleston, West Virgina. The only difference is that my city is on the side of a hill lol

Thanks ephorex_77!! I think its not like alot of CJs around...everyone likes to see the biggest cities with the greatest building. But when we do that we neglect how the middle sized cities are like that only have 5, 10, and 15 skyscrapers. Personally i think the mid sized cities look better. And about the parks doesnt everyone??48.gif

Whew i think thats all of them... Thanks again for alll the comment you guys! And that next update is coming soon most likely later on today or tommorow!

This is one of the better CJ's have seen.  Very detailed.  I agree with some other posters, more updates need to be made.  I really like your city hall district...very realistic.  44.gif

Great update TMS! Silver Island appears to be a paradise for the rich, I'd love to live there. On Apartment Row, are those 4 buildings the Hampton Condos? They look very much alike...

     Hey, TMS

Nice update, and I can understand the RLS problems and not being able to play especially with only 256 RAM. I find my self not wanting to play with 512. 1.gif Anyway about the update, I like the bridge to Silver Island. Really nice CJ !
