Hello again, TMS! I just thought I'd drop by to see how things are...didn't really expect to see Simtropolis getting a new makeover though, lol. Anyways, I can see you've made numerous changes to Wood County since I last visited. Honest question though: How many more times are you planning on ending Wood County only to bring it back again?? ...I mean, not that it's a bad thing. *The city does look even better each time you revive it*...Either way, are you planning on continuing the little stories about your characters like Thom Yorke and such? It'd be really great to keep everyone posted on what's happening to them, especially now that I know there's going to be romantic plots involved Well, the rebirth of Wood County certainly is off to a great start, as were the beginnings of the first two constructions of Wood County The Duchati University definitely looks amazing! You've managed to combine the many BATs together to build up a pretty realistic version of an urban university campus. Really well done indeed And the Wood County Museun of History and the Arts is really something...with a huge collection of exhibits like that, I really doubt the rest of the region would even need to build their own museums, lol... By the way, you've done a great job on those little newspapers you made for the updates. You can use it to fit in so many stories for Duchati and Wood County...let's just hope nobody abuses the power of the media, hmm? Now this recent update I really like. The downtown area looks quite good, and Duchati still has a lot more room to increase its population even further. The city looks great whether it's 4 feet deep in snow or not...and as always, nighttime pictures are the most beautiful. And once again, the CAF is back! lol...I remember it back in the day...well, I guess there will be more CAF buildings popping up in Duchati then, hmm? lol...Ok then, this has been a great couple of updates. I guess I'll see you around sometime then, TMS. Keep us posted on the developments!

Unbelievable...everytime I disappear for a little while, I come back and find some amazing new things happening to Wood County! With all the exams and the trip down to Michigan for the holidays, I never really had a chance to drop by and catch up on some great updates. Anyways, I hope you had a great Christmas break and New Year Coming back to follow-up on your CJ is a pretty nice way to just relax for a bit after the start of classes...the holidays just went by too quickly for me. Great introduction for Boggy, by the way. You're great at writing fictions/dramas here, lol...and speaking of which, you've got quite a knack for providing us with some real-life drama as well, especially when you announced that this CJ was pretty much over. Well, you're definitely a fighter! Just by looking through some of your recent updates of the new Wood County, I'm sure it will turn out to be just as good as, if not better than, the old Wood County. You are one inspirational member on this site, truly worthy of the trixies and honourable mentions for the awards Moving on...the new Duchati certainly looks like it is getting off to a nice start. Nice to see that you planned the layout of the roads prior to any major development there. Great intersections, lol...And you've got some beautiful new BATs spread out over the city too! That hospital sure got some prime real estate...with the Fountain of Youth right next door, who needs to hire doctors? Now for that pretty statue, it's really sweet of you to name it after me, lol! Thank you That tutorial you provided about creating false avenues looks great! I might give it a try when I get home...light-rails running down the avenue sure looks pretty in a city. It really is something to see how you can get a fairly large city up and running so fast...and great planning on the transportation. You've got many types of transportation running through the area, which will really help when Downtown Duchati develops even more. By the way, where are you planning on keeping most of your dirty industry, hmm? You don't seem to have a lot at the moment. It's nearly impossible for me to build any successful cities without dirty industry around...Anyways, I'll be looking forward to see more of the new and expanding areas of Wood County, so keep up the great work as always, TMS! I wish you and everyone here a great and prosperous new year ~Yuna

Hi TMS, I see you've added an even taller building in Downtown Duchati now...I guess it's a never-ending quest for the good people of Wood County to build the tallest tower in the region Anyways, I've taken some time to look over some of the past updates to refresh my memories of the city. Just comparing the very first picture of this CJ with the recent ones really shows signifcant changes within 150 years of development! Wood County itself also grew a lot over the years...with expansions in towns like Childerswood and West Duchati. Speaking of which, it'd be really nice to see any changes made to areas like Childerswood, Driftwood, or maybe East Duchati We haven't really gotten a chance to visit those places in quite awhile now...but of course, you can show us those places when you feel the time is right Back to Downtown Duchati, looks like the CAF is really intent on getting some prime real estate for their headquarters and such...their firm must be worth billions of simoleans by now, lol. I suppose Malibu Park really had to go...at least your sims still get to enjoy the Legend Park and the Beaver Lake Park. They're definitely great places to sit and relax. So, I'll be back again to see what further changes you've made to your region, or perhaps another even taller building, lol...Keep up the great work, TMS!

Hello, TMS...it's been quite some time since I last visited (2 months, I think)! Sorry for not keeping up with the support, lol...It's just that the last 2 months had been a hectic time. I swear the workload increases exponentially with each passing year... *I know it's a bit late, but congratulations on surpassing 1000 replies! * Anyways, now that I've got some time...It is great to see the major changes and renovations made to Wood County! A refreshment of the old parts of town really shows how much things has changed while downtown Duchati experienced massive growth. Before I continue, I must say that I'm really honoured to have the stadium named after me! So thank you, TMS...hopefully the Olympics will be coming to town, lol. Continuing on with the updates, I see that you still use your technique of 'bulldoze and rebuild'...not a lot of people will go through with that, myself included of course. But it's pretty clear the result is worth the destruction...I know Wood County laws make it compulsory, but I just feel sorry for those poor sims forced out of their homes, even if it is for the greater good. *I hope you rebuilt the art museum in Cedar City though...art just isn't something that can be sacrificed * Now about South Duchati, I just can't believe the sims there haven't left town already...or with 'no job zots' all over those houses. I would've thought the sims would just stop going to work due to the complexity of your street/road network layouts, lol...even with NAM modifications. Anyhow, the reconstruction of the district does have a more pleasing look to it, with smoother traffic flow on top of that, I'm sure. On to downtown Duchati, I really like this part You did a great job prettying up the waterfront area. Though wouldn't it be easier to simply connect the mainland to Deer Run Island? I mean, the two shores are so close together already...or maybe the aristocrats on the island don't want to mix in with the crowd, hmm? Either way, downtown looks magnificent! The nighttime pictures really bring out the beauty of those buildings. Well then, like I've said many times before, you've done some great work here! There really isn't enough time for me to compliment every piece of work you've made in Wood County, nor would I want to seeing as how I might run the risk of boring you halfway through reading this, so I'll just say this: Wonderful job, and since I'll be around for a little while the next few days, I'll be sure to check up on anything new!

Hello TMS...haven't posted in a little while, sorry about that. Been busy getting things ready for school. Anyways, really nice work on renovating Civic Row! It's changed alot, and now it looks even prettier with the new BATs. And the Downtown Duchati area is really looking better than ever! With all those new buildings popping up everywhere, they must be generating thousands of dollars for your lucky city And the pictures of your city at night are definitely one of the best parts of your update The airport is looking pretty good too! Maybe you can tell us the name of it soon, lol...Keep up the great work, TMS!
-
You finally updated after making us wait for such a long time, TMS! But this large update was definitely worth the wait, lol...Really beautiful progress made here. The new highway and el-rail/light rail you added are well planned out for the development of West Duchati. It's good to see you incorporate some brand new transportation networks that the recent version of the NAM provided, especially the light rail...*I've tried adding those in my cities, but sometimes they just cause the game to crash. I'm starting to lose faith in using light rail, lol...* Nevertheless, it looks good in your city. Anyways, West Duchati looks real pretty with the large forest to the south and the nice little neighborhoods. You've done a great job here, and I'll be back to see what else you're going to be showing us soon!
-
Hello TMS, great series of updates here! I really didn't know what you meant when you said you did that transport map with the 1263 layers thing, but I guess it was pretty complicated, lol...though it was also very helpful. Now it's clear to see how you're routing the M297 as a loop around the Duchati area. Anyways, all the work you did to build new roadways and intersections, it was quite nice for me to see! I mean, I don't exactly dedicate alot of time making new roads and improving the whole network, so looking at your work does help me to see the kinds of things that could be done. Well, it's been wonderful to read up on all the things you did, and I can't wait to see the new West Duchati area and the new airport! Keep up the great work TMS By the way, I'm sorry to hear about the game crash... Hope you'll be able to bring us an update soon!

Hello TMS...I would've looked in earlier, but you know summer...lots of things to do But now that I've got time, it's a really nice surprise to see all the new additions and changes made to Wood County! Looking back at alot of pictures, it's pretty easy to see that you've got this fascination with functional, yet complex type of intersections and road networks, lol...But they've been really neat and inspiring though. I've even tried to do something of the sort, but I've got a long way to go before they look this good...or even work as well as the ones I've seen here. The new renovations to the old parts of Duchati and downtown are quite amazing projects too...but the one downtown was a bit of a surprise for me. I didn't expect you to demolish a whole section of buildings since it's only a few updates ago that you added all those skyscrapers and such, but anyhow, the result was very nice. I don't know how many people can afford to live at the Superstar Condos though...I'd better start saving up some simoleans Wonderful work as always, and I look forward to seeing the new airport for Wood County soon!
-
So Wood County is going to be hosting the Olympics now, hmm? lol...Well, I'd go for #5 and #6. I hope you'll be showing us some more progress of things soon!
-
Hi...the experiment with the waterfalls is pretty impressive! I think the entire project showed some great results, and you helped to demonstrate the types of limitations that exists. On top of that, it was a good idea to let us see the process that you took to do this, instead of just presenting the final product. Anyways, all the details you added looks wonderful. Though the two lakes are a little strange with their different colours, lol...but overall, it's beautiful. Those trees, bridges, boardwalks, and the observatory helped to add realism, and you shouldn't worry too much about those little flaws. You can't really notice them unless you zoom all the way in...And about those roundabouts, they're getting really popular now, hmm? By the way, I've noticed in one of the pictures that you named the city poo...if you're planning on keeping it, I hope you're going to come up with a prettier name, lol. So, good job with this little experiment, and I look forward to more of Wood County!

Hi again TMS! I'll really try to drop by more frequently, lol...but it's great that you like my comments! So anyways, wonderful news on getting your night-lights fixed. Downtown definitely carries a completely different yet still attractive look to it at nighttime. With all those pretty colours to look at, what sim wouldn't want to live there? But of course, I guess Childerswood would be a paradise for those who prefer to live away from the city. This town really reminds me of Driftwood, though Childerswood has more pretty farms. And for those poor sims in the crash...they really need more time to adjust to these new roundabouts, lol. Those solar power plants are great additions too! I don't think I've ever seen any dirty power plants in Wood County yet...so great job on keeping the environment clean! Also, congratulations again on getting so many comments...a real sign that you're doing just fine at city building. Anyways, I'll be back soon to check for more updates, so I guess you can spend some time doing some experimenting, which I'll be happy to see!

Alot of great updates here, TMS! *Congratulations on getting your Photoshop back!* Thanks for posting up that regional picture...I've been waiting for quite awhile to seeing that Now it's very clear for us to see how the terrain looks like and where everything is in relation to each other. The terraforming is really nicely done...I definitely still have alot of work in that area, lol. I just can't sculpt mountains to look like that. Anyways, looks like Driftwood got its fair share of developments as well though even after all that, the town still retained that tranquil look to it...great work! Your Downtown Duchati is looking even better now, with all those new skyscrapers. Your sims sure are lucky to be getting a brand new medical facility, lol...And that little episode with the fire, nicely plotted out! Nice to see some suspense here too, introducing a new character to the story before giving us the results of the fire. But everything worked out nicely in the end...new land to redevelop on, with a brand new skyscraper to decorate downtown. *Sad story about Thom though...but it was a nice introduction* Those nighttime pictures of downtown were pretty, though it was kind of strange with all the lights off...but nevertheless, I enjoyed those screenshots with all the zones and roads all laid out. They really help me to learn how to properly place bus stops and such By the way, great idea on adding a table of contents! It'll be easy to refer back to past pictures now So, I'll see you around then, TMS. In the meantime, work hard at your cities!

Hi TMS, I'm sorry about not being here earlier...I just didn't have much time to play SC4 and visit Simtropolis. But anyways, I love the character introduction! It's pretty funny, and it was kind of random that Charley just started to blast heavy metal music from the hummer like that... I look forward to more character introductions! On to City Hall Park...it's been a very long time since we've seen any developments here. Everything looks great though, and I guess your sims are grateful for the new intersections, even if it meant destroying some historic buildings, lol...And about this new part of town, I can't wait to see it! I'm sure it will be great By the way, congratulations on getting an upgrade for your computer! It's good to hear that you're still going to continue with Wood County as it is now, with mostly medium tiles. You've worked hard at it to make it pretty, so I'd much rather you keep going instead of rebuilding everything again. Alright then, I'll be waiting patiently for your next update, so keep on bringing us your great stories and city developments!

Hi TMS...great developments in Downtown Duchati! The city is really coming along nicely...A 40,000 jump in population over a period of 10 years, that's impressive! Wonderful work on the Legend Park and the new layouts. The park stands out beautifully among the tall buildings Must be a great place for the sims to relax from their busy city life. The 5 new skyscrapers built are also quite nice...A clear sign of Duchati's successful growth and economy. I guess Cedar City will be building it's own skyscrapers sometime in the near future too, hmm? lol. Anyways, it's been wonderful to see some new updates! I would've made a character, but seeing as how there are nearly 10 different characters for you to keep track of, I don't want to add to the pressure, lol...But I lookforward to further stories of the Narrows family. Keep it up with the great city building/story writing, TMS!
