Will you also include Train Stations in the same style? Since a lot of International Airports have integrated Train Stations...

@coupe: An AC member is working on that I believe. Can't tell you a release date, it's not set... because I'm not done creating the content yet. The CRJ is still being worked on and the Lots need icons -- there are over 100, so it's not a small task.

@shinkansen: the only person I owe answers to on this project is Ace. But yes, that is another feature that we'll explain soon.

@toxic, daryl: nice pic!

And here's a new screenie to tide everyone over until I'm back from vacation next week --

ace and voltaire... your work is just getting more and more detailed and realistic every day... nice job!

Also... as a general message to thread visitors, I am currently creating textures for a RMIP-style ashphalt 5-tile runway...

I'm back!

Thanks TheSixCents, C0ckatoo, allan, hamsterTK

@Craig: it certainly is! Aer Lingus no longer operate any B products (have switched entirely to A), but I liked the livery so much I pulled it out of time for use in SC4. Reference pics I was working from are dated 1982-1985, when the 741/742 was tops in luxury, range, and payload.

@JFman: That was a 747-148... THIS is a flying whalelephant 3.gif

whalephantyf7.jpg

(not entirely my own work, I just added the wings)

@hamsterTK: The light sources are already orange-ish but the SC4 night environment is so purple/blue that it cancels out, ending up pale yellow. Which is actually better next to ace's buildings, since the light spilling out from the windows is also pale yellow.

I'm planning on building a huge custom airport in my CJ, and I wondered... Are there any plans on a release?

It would be stupid to build an airport with the old pack if a new pack is coming out soon 2.gif

Thx!

It wouldn't be stupid to build an airport with the old pack... I'm planning on having both packs installed AND I'm planning to have airports with both packs being used. After all, there are some airports that have terminals that were built at different times and don't look anything alike. 2.gif

    I love these cargo terminals, my airport has a quite large freight section. Too bad that there are no specific cargo machines... (or will there be?)

    I think the world will come crashing down in a hail of flying whalephants when this gets out. Its too spectacular to exist.

    Are we getting close enough to get an estimate on a release date? This is utterly spectacular, and I'm very much looking forward to actually using it.

    Cargo Terminals?!?!

    Are you planning on doing a FedEx (or whatever) livery? And maybe a realistic type of gate for loading cargo? Or is that later release?

    Also, FYI, you are awesome.. so Moar is needed.

    That'd be neat. Maybe even a 747 with a flip-up nose door.

    Ace, that's great work, but I have to ask you:

    Do you have sadistic tendencies, or why are you torturing us with those great shots? ;-)

    Keep up the good work, I 'm eagerly awaiting its completion!

    regards

    Thomas
