Nice watery mosaic, sloppet! With the amount of replies you have already and a look at your current city view and knowledge that you have a very large region to build on, I think this CJ will amount to more pages and replies than any of them out there in no time! No offense to any other CJs because there are really good CJs out there, but they just don't update as often. Anyway, good job, and get well soon, sloppet!

I LOVE the houses that you used Sloppet! I would love to use them in one of my cities. If you could give me a link or tell me where they are that would be great!

BTW, Your little town is amazing. How did you get the streets diagonal, I've tried but i cant get them to go tat way. I love the fact that its not all skyscrapers and industrial buildings, but is more blending in with nature. Good job!

Sloppet-

Awe is a word that is easily overused.  I probably looked at you big pic from Update 4.2 for about 5 minutes.  Sure, you see the "game limitation" sort of stuff that you don't have any control over, but the eyes quickly move on to see the things that you have so masterfully arranged and placed on your landscape.

You've simply nailed a small town ambience that most people try for and miss by a mile.  You do stuff that looks like postcards from New Hampshire or Vermont.  I might have tried to vary the houses on the circle if I had been in your shoes, but that's just quibbling.  Everything you've done looks positioned by hand.

Bravo.  Bravo!

David

This is great work... I just finished reading through the whole journal and all I can say is: wow.

You have captured the rural spirit completely. Obviously you've learned a lot from all the CJ's you read. The bar continues to be raised!

Just amazing, keep it on. The New-England-like suburbs look fantastic and very realistic. Great work with the pics.

It's just as if SC4 were 3D, sloppet, looking at your sort-of top-down shot. The buildings appear to come out of space as if they had perspective. The pictures are excellent and the stuff you do in photoshop makes them look better. Your urban areas look just as good as your suburbs.
