This sounds cool, I would like to see a realistic map of Singapore City, all medium cities if possible, because of my 512 RAM computer. 16.gif

You're on the Mapp Squad, why don't you make one for yourself and the rest of us? It would be an awesome first project.

    RHF

P.S. For those of you who haven't figured it out from the previous post, Scipio has just joined the Mapp Squad. On behalf of all of us Scipio, welcome to the Mapp Squad, we look forward to some of your work, including my aforementioned suggestion of doing Tokyo!

Could somebody make the northern beaches area of Sydney? From Manly were the ferries are to the top of Palm Beach headland were there is a lighthouse? As far out as terry hills? that would be perfect if somebody could make it, as long as it's not to big.

    Please make this map,

    sincerely Ddeathtoall.

Well, I'm doing the whole island of Singapore to scale, but as you know it is very large for SC4. So, I'll release the whole thing, but I'll also release 4 quadrants for people with slower computers.

Ddeathtoall: Unless one of our members can find some data to create Sydney, I doubt it, because there isn't that kind of data available from other countries e.g. the USGS.

Nexis: I'm sure that somebody will get on it right away.

When I was looking for how to make Guadalajara Mexico, in in fact found a place with worldwide .hgt files. These are not as accurate as the USGS USA dems, but they are pretty accurate, so... I will take up this project and Tokyo, as Scipio mentioned.

And if nobody has vowed to take Stockton by the time I'm done with Tokyo and north Sydney, I will...

Geez, there are more requests here than I could have imagined... 9.gif

I need to get MicroDem and look over the tutorial a little more first, but after that I can start cranking out the real world accurate maps instead of just fantasy ones that I'm doing.

Nexis: There's a really good Newark map on the STEX, if you're interested. If not, then I'm sure one of us can make it for you.

Mexicanboy: If I can be able to make real world maps, I'll take up your request. I'll see what I can do.

Mallow, those are a lot of maps to be working on at a time! So when you're done with Tokyo and Sydney, hopefully I'll be able to make real world maps and take up Stockton.

when you guys have time, how about the whole southern california region, include san diego, los angeles, ventura, santa barbara, the inland empire, and the desert cities closest to the valleys. It seems like a massive region but would be cool to see the whole southern california built with sc4.

Sorry to be a bother, but I would like to find the small map that used to be at the old SIMTROPOLIS site (it was not with all the other maps, it was in the link/download SC4 landmarks area) It had 1 large city with 5 medium cities around 2 of the 4 edges. It was all flat and grass. I can't remeber what it was called. I did look for it the map section of the STEX and can't find it.  If anyone knows where I can find it or has a copy of it and would send it (or upload it to the STEX) I would love to get it (again).

    Thank You.
    Dan

Y_A_H - the_new_simman found an awesome tutorial for the landscape designer in the home thread, it's on page 3 or 4, I think. That should help you be ready to tackle some of these, eh? Great work guys, the list should be up soon and we're on track, I think, except for these last couple maps.

Hey, I'd love to tackle this project. It may be a bit too big to download from USGS for free. If that happens I will let you know and we can work something out okay?

    Release Date: Tuesday - Thursday
