Hi, I have just started up a pretty new city and like to have some nice canals running through it. So I was wondering if someone have a good canalpack they can recommend. So far all the my canals comes without bridges which is quite enoying. It will also be a big plus if the canals have some enviroment ratings since I always have problem with that part.

To summarize it all I am looking for a complete canal set that have bridges for all way sizes in the rush hour expansion pack. I will also be thank full if they canals have a enviroment rating.

Thank you all beutiful people and sorry if my English isn't perfect 4.gif

I believe Pegasus has some good canal packs (they have bridges)..

If you need help with that, search on the STEX (Exchange) for PEG or Canal.

Already try that and I have downloaded many packs but it always something wrong with them. Usually many of them are bugging so I get land squares in my water or what i should call it. Looks a bit strange. And if they work they don't have bridges 3.gif

The problem you're describing could probably be because the surface of your city isn't entirely flat. For the canals to work, you need to make sure that all pieces of land where you plan to put the canals are flat. You can accomplish this by plopping 1x1 pieces of road next to eachother along the planned path of the canal..

Other good canal packs are made by Oppie (you can get those at SimcityCentral) or the BSC Canals here on the Simtropolis Exchange..

i would suggest oppies for inner city canals, i dont know they just seem to fit in more to me.

however you have to give peg credit his canals have numerous expansions such as industrial docks and drawbridges.

i never tried out teh sg canals so i cant say what they are like.

Using all three for different waterways in your city could be cool, just for a little variety...

I have all three and use both SimGoobers and Peg's a lot, especially now that Peg has added the locks for his wide canals. Each has a lot to recommend it (Goobers end pieces, Pegs fountains), but I don't have the great bridges for Oppies as yet.

the one thin gthat puts me off downloading sgs canals though is the water texture. its just a bit too murky for a city  maybe for the suburbs but city center canals would resemble more oppies style of canals.

    >_> if tha tmakes any ense.
