Yes! Page 12! Some people to thank:

Ephorex77 - Thanks for your comment!

KOSC- THanks for stopping by as usual to see this update!

To ALL - I could try to pull in an update this afternoon. But I have a problem deciding what to do! Would you:

A    Like to see more of Covina (there is not much left)
B    Show you some of the cities in Palmwell County
C    Show upstate Euphora State where Ridgefield and Haddonfield are

You decide now! I'll give a couple days for you to vote, you may vote once for the choice you like the most. Below is a poorly drawn picture of the state.

    untitled4gj.jpg

You can see where are area of focus is, and some of the other cities. If you want to see Rivermont and Ashland City, that would be choice B. Choice C is for the upper part of the state, Ridgefield and Haddonfield, two sister cities.

Please cast your votes in! 4.gif

Nice spacing of buildings and just the right amount of trees and parks! Very pretty city.

Some of the diagonal streets look a little forced and a bit unrealistic though. Another thing that stood out was the deep slope to the tunnel below. You better be buckled in while driving down that one. Anyways I am slope/grade nut and will point out things like this in CJs because improper sloping like whats shown in your pic takes away from an otherwise realistic looking city you have going on here!

To be quite honest masterplanman, it took me a while to locate the incline that you were talking about. 19.gif I'm not critising your critiquing 3.gif but I don't think that the incline is noticeable at all.

I told you I was a nut when it came to these things and spend extra time to acheive perfection ~ and I still slope everything by hand going back to my SC3 days ~ as the sloping and terraforming is practically the same.

It takes a bit more time to do but IMO is worth it. I know many of us are striving to create realism as much as possible and push the game to its limits. This is just one aspect of attention to detail which I strive to accomplish. To see some of my sloping check out my CJ.

I know many of other CJ readers out there like to suger coat things and to you and many others this particular instance may not be all that noticible or a problem. I just thought I would bring it up as a way for you and others to improve upon the realism we are all trying to achieve and I hope others do the same for me.

When I reveiw a CJ I am going to be honest and hopefully add some thoughts and suggestions from some of the  things I have learned. To me the tunnel jumped out like a sore thumb.

Don't take this the wrong way though your overall CJ is top notch IMO.

I don't know if this is a no-no (I am new to this so I this was out of line I appologize ~ but I am just trying to help out). Here is a shot of what some fine sloping can do. It also enables some nice terracing of buildings to be acheived:

Pic removed by MPM to maintain the integrety of this CJ.

Masterplanman - I appreciate you commenting here, I always like to hear constructive criticism. I never take criticism the wrong way because I like to hear what others suggest. Suggestions can help this city journal grow bigger and better. Thanks for stopping by, and I would like to see you here again!

    Ephorex/Palmgurl - Thanks for visiting.

To ALL - I don't know if you saw the post right above Masterman's first post, but it said to vote on which region of the state you would like to see next. If you could please put a vote down, I would be more than happy.

Mikeaut1 ~ glad you have the same attitude I have regarding CJs. We can all learn alot from each other. I enjoy getting posts that go into more detail, make suggestions, and of course we all like the compliments.

I vote for C as well.

I'll be following along to see how things turn out as this is a very nice CJ!

I'm voting for B. I to had to revisit some of the regional views to decide. But i'm thinking that i haven't seen you use much Agriculture in you CJs. . . . (i really don't develop Ag in my regions either) but maybe you'll think about it. 1.gif We'll have to see!!!!

    49.gif Update 26

    Highway Layout In Ridgefield

Hey everyone. I have no time today at all really. Today's my birthday and also Independence Day here in the US so we're hustling around to bbqs and stuff.

Here is the layout of highway in Ridgefield. It is quite different from any other cities in the state of Euphora.

    ridgefieldjan30011204996054zj.jpg

    ridgefieldjan30011204996187ne.jpg

    ridgefieldjan30011204996353pp.jpg

    ridgefieldjan30011204996476wk.jpg

As you can see, the highway is at ground level at some spots, and even below ground level in other spots. A simple network of tunnels was made for the main downtown area in Ridgefield.

Next update, we shall see some growth within Ridgefield, and also a short article on the background of the city.

    Stay Tuned!

    Happy July 4th! 39.gif
