    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Heroes, Lost and Idol are over. Do not despair - for coming soon in full color Simvision to a gogglebox near you is a show where you can...

...learn who the mysterious woman lurking in Eloff is...

    ...meet the sisters West...

...catch the train to Land's End...

...get lost in the barren wilderness of Devil's Teeth...

...find out if Mayor Tiles has finally lost his marbles...

...keep an eye out for nasty side effects from Ella's burgers...

...discover who Andrew Bridge is, and why he's leaving Port Sinclair.

All this and more as we explore the cities, mayors and simcitizens of Ellis Valley's southern coastline - The Shipwreck Coast.

Next: The season 2 prologue - a funeral.

Hi, Schulmanator. You probably got one of Ella's low-quality export burgers - that nasty urping only happens when she doesn't put enough llama juice in...

    Hi, Zipme17. Not long now...

Hi, Jacqulina. I am also looking forward to the update - the simcitizens of the valley haven't quite finished revealing the details of the prologue...

Hi, Darmok. You might need a few more dots... but not too many...

Hi, sc4Portugal. It will be back on the road, train, el and even the monorail...

Hi, Shadow_Assassin. Ah, I knew there'd be a place to go looking for them...

Once upon a time Crater Lake was Benedict's favorite city. It was his favorite city because this is where he was married.

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Now all that is left of his marriage is a photograph which he keeps in his wallet, although he rarely looks at it.

Today Benedict is back in Crater Lake, although he does not really wish to be there.

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

You can see the new railway and South Lake station, although today Benedict does not care about the railway.

    200crlk3.jpg

Benedict doesn't care about the new railway because he is attending a funeral at the same place he was married.

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The funeral is for Charity West Tiles, his wife. This is where she is being laid to rest.

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Benedict sits in the church long after everyone else has left to attend the wake. He doesn't want to socialize with her family, particularly Charity's viperous sisters, patience and Harmony. He also doesn't wish to engage in small talk with the other mayors who were invited (and some who weren't invited, but came anyway). He just wants to sit there, content in the knowledge that he can no longer be blackmailed, and, although the price was high, he should never have to return to Crater Lake.

As he steps outside he sees an eagle... the only beautiful thing he will see today.

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

His wedding picture no longer contains anything but pain. He looks at the faded photograph one more time before getting in the car and driving back to Eloff.

    Next: The Shipwreck Coast.

At least they didn't name their sons Bestiality, Adultery or Covetousness. (that, I suppose, what happens when the parents get the wrong idea about naming daughters after virtues, and they, of course, naturally assumed that they should name their sons after vices.)

Meanwhile, that's a little bit of a sad update. 3.gif Looks good, but it's a shame about the grid (being on a Mac and all).

Hi, Zipme17. When you meet the sisters West later this season you can decide for yourself how "poor" any of them is...

Hi, Darmok. Well, soap operas have to have their sad moments...

Hi, Shadow_Assassin. Fortunately their are no West sons. And by mentioning the MAC 'grid' you managed to undo months of therapy and self-delusion that I made it invisible to my eyes! Thanks again to Aspyr for leaving the 'perforations' in the game...

    Season 2, Episode 1

The schoolchildren of the Valley learn the names of the towns on the Shipwreck Coast from south to, er, south from the West River. They are Omalle, Kidden, Redbar, Wexlin, Port Sinclair, Selanned, Nereid, Maddog and Land's End. Today, we are going visit Omalle.

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Omalle and Kidden almost run together. The true boundary between the towns is Omalle-Kidden square, but hardly anyone remembers that.

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

A closer look at the posh northern end of Omalle reveals its famous 'Circles' neighborhoods, full of beautifully kept Victorian houses and manicured lawns.

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The mayor of Omalle, Scot Mills, has his residence on 1st Circle.

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

If you have a few minutes to spare to stand and watch 1st Circle, you will notice something odd about the mayor's limousine.

    It goes around...

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
    ...and around...

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
    ...and around...

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
    ...and around!

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

What nobody knows is that, contrary to popular belief, Mayor Mills is the most paranoid man in all of Ellis Valley, and demands that his car is ready to whisk him away from danger at a moments notice.

What Mayor Mills doesn't know is that outside of Omalle nobody even knows who he is. Mayor Mills also doesn't know that a certain woman, partially disguised with a headscarf, has been driving around his town making notes.

What he also doesn't know is that, since he has never had to be whisked away in an emergency, his driver has actually forgotten how to make right turns.

I wonder what will happen if he finally has something to be paranoid about?

    Next: Pipes.

Hi, Jacqulina. Thanks for stopping by twice! Glad you liked the updates.

Hi, Zipme17. Oops, I got confused by all the West sisters' names. You'll be meeting the other 2 later in the season. I changed my earlier response to avoid confusion 2.gif

Hi, Godzillaman. I know. Do you think I could sue Aspyr for lack of aesthetic concern?

Hi, Shadow_Assassin. EV seems to have more than its share of crazies. Just as well, otherwise this CJ would be awfully boring.

Hi, GMT. Well, I'd have to run that idea by the sims. So far they have been adamant that they retain their vanilla surroundings. And congratulations on the 2 million!

    Season 2: Episode 2

In the months since his wife's funeral Benedict has kept himself busy implementing his plan for the development of Eloff. All the planned EllisRail stations and track have been built, and the first phase of the Eloff Elevated Network is complete.

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Unfortunately, all the new infrastructure has drained the city's coffers, and Benedict's plans are way behind schedule. The most glaring problem is the incomplete El system. So far only the Eloff circle has been built. Even Westmouth and Elmouth have completed their branches on time and under budget. Every day simcitizens of Eloff make jokes about the unfinished lines.

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

The El map doesn't fool anyone.

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

And one local artist has been producing paintings that poke fun at the unfinished system, which has Benedict secretly fuming.

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

But today Benedict is going to get results. Today, Melissa has brought him a report. Benedict has long suspected that the city's taxes have been literally pouring down the drain. The report shows that no less than three different water suppliers operate in the Eloff area.

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

    The first supplier is H2Oxbridge...

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

    then there's Readbridge Water...

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

    and finally Westwood Wells.

    Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

And each company has been gouging the city, charging way too much money for the amount of water used.

At the next city council meeting Benedict is going to use the report to demonstrate that the waste of money needs to be stopped...

...I wonder if there'll be any opposition?

    Next: The square.
