Healthcare facility

Hi everyone, well I have now played SimCity for some week (I even bought Rush hour this week which I found very different from the orginal game) but this problem always come to me. Even if I have a quite small town and a huge hospital there still comes a message that my healthworkers are walking and I need to raise the founding. How come? How many hospitals do you need in a city? And isn't there a mod for this, for example something that will give my healthcare workers x10 the speed or what I would call it?

Really enoying when that red text always plopps up on the screen and makes my citizens leave

Well. The key is to see what capacity your hospital has versus the number it's being asked to support. Then move the slider to increase funding to make the capicity more than the number needed. You've clicked on it and done that, right?

If the number of people asked to be supported is > 3300 (the max, I think) , you need to build another, or clinics etc.

get mbears hospital off the stex , it has a massive capacity of like 55000 when fully founded but takes up more room then the standard hospital.

manu-fan: For the moment my city have 45,000 citizens and to satisfy their needs I have a large hospital with a capacity of over 3,600 patients. My ambulance funding is around the middle (Just enough to cover my city area) and my healthcare funding is at max. Right now I'm wasting over 1,300 simleons just to make my health go well and still it don't. That just makes my city budget very small :/

Just a last simple question, I have the deluxe edition which contains Rush hour i suppose, I can still download all files from this side huh?

And if I add them into the plugin map in my game direction will it still work? Haven't tryed with so many mods yet and still I haven't seen any in my game.

Maybe having two overlapping hospitals instead of one with a massive radius might be the way to go.

Anyway. I wouldn't exactly call 45,000 a small town .

To satisfy the healthcare of that many citizens, I would expect to have to spend a bit of money. But just remember all the money you're making off the sims in taxes. Isn't it worth it?

The way to make sure you don't get strikes is to provide more heathcare facilities until it covers the demand.

yes delux works fine (its what i have) just down load the file to "program files /  maxis / simcity 4 delux / plugins"

dont forget to extract the file after the download. there should be a button near the top left on the side saying extract file (double click on the file and the extract button should appear) follow the instrustions there and extract it to

"program files / maxis / simcity 4 delux / plugins"

I'm having a similar problem.<br /><br />I have a decent-sized city, around 50k people in it.  I have several hospitals and always make sure I have capacity for the people they serve.<br /><br />My problem is that while I have a capacity of like 2400, and only have 968 patients, I STILL get the annoying window popping up that healthcare funding has been hit and workers are threatening to strike!  If anything, they should be worried about being laid off!<br /><br />I am running the Deluxe edition of SC4.  Having said that, I have been unsuccessful since buying the game about a year ago in downloading the update from EA.  Whether or not that fixes it, I have no idea.<br /><br />Any thoughts?<br /><br />K

Never had this problem myself, but make sure you check each hospital's funding, if just one is not funded enough you will see the strike message. The easiest way to check funding of all hospitals is to click on Health and Education in the Budget and then on Hospitals or something like that and adjust the funding there.

Also, if you recently adjusted funding to the hospitals to get rid of the strike message, you will have to wait for the message to go away (it doesn't disappear immediately) or delete it yourself.
