brianvy2.jpgBrian: A message just arrived from the Blitkarni, and it says...

    galesfe490et4.jpg

bradfv9.jpgBrad: Uhh.. line with 2 dots next to it, another one of those, backwards C with a blob in the upper right corner, H with the bottom right section missing, dash, Y with a line under it, squiggly L like thing.. I don't think this is working.

    brianvy2.jpgBrian: Where's the translation?

    bradfv9.jpgBrad: Oh, here it is:

    The FIFA Worlds Cup

    Location: Nekominkoku

    List of Events:

    1: The Ball O’ Yarn

    2: Long Pounce

    3: High Pounce

    4: The Great Scratch-Off

    5: Tree Climb

    6: Sprints

    7: Chasing

    8: Claw Fencing

Comments will come with next update. It shouldn't be too long now. I have all the pictures, I just need time to write the story for it.

Thanks for the translation! I thought my contacts were in the wrong eyes... again!

Cats are looking forward to the big event-- I saw a group of them power walking around the neighborhood and another group down at the track earlier today. This is gonna be BIG!

The skyfarms are perfect for these kinds of CJ's! Great work!

Update 49: Off to the desert

    October 21st, 0155AL

    galesfe491ws4.jpg

bradfv9.jpgBrad: You know, the stargate looks like a puddle of water...

liljs3.jpg Captain Thobe: But it isn't.

    bradfv9.jpgBrad: I know that.

brianvy2.jpgBrian:  Anything interesting out here, other than sand?

ronulvn5.jpgColonel Yelslew: Nothing is coming up.

    brianvy2.jpgBrian:  Exiting stealth mode.

    galesfe492rh0.jpg

    brianvy2.jpgBrian:  Still nothing but sand.

    bradfv9.jpgBrad: And hills.

    galesfe493iv6.jpg

    *some time later*

brianvy2.jpgBrian:  How long are we going to look for something?

ronulvn5.jpgColonel Yelslew: We've traveled around 500 miles from the gate, I think we should head ba-- hold on.

    brianvy2.jpgBrian:  What?

ronulvn5.jpgColonel Yelslew: There's some sort of power signature nearby, I think we should check it out. Also go back to stealth mode.

    galesfe494kc4.jpg

liljs3.jpg Captain Thobe: Its a village.

*A screen pops up on the front window of the GS-1*

bradfv9.jpgBrad: Finally, something other than sand and hills!

    brianvy2.jpgBrian:  No lifesigns though.

ronulvn5.jpgColonel Yelslew: Thats odd. The power signature seems to be in that big fort, but if there isn't anyone where, why didn't they take it when they left?

bradfv9.jpgBrad: Maybe they ran out of supplies and died.

    galesfe495gn6.jpg

ronulvn5.jpgColonel Yelslew: Land in the middle of the cactus patch and keep the cloak on just in case someone else comes.

    To be continued...

    Comments:

Schulmanator2: It is possible there is catnip in there somewhere... And my cat seems to be sleeping most of the time.

zelgadis2: And looking at the ancient alphabet on the internet won't help... much.

    Leech10: Wait, that me.

pipishere, crushedcar, Godzillaman: Thanks for the comments!

Cool! Nice terrain. And I love the bandit cactus... come out with your hands up!

I wonder what's in the fort... looks intriguing...

    hopefully a Kwik-E-Mart... I need a slushy!

Oop, looks like I missed one while I was on "break." Seems I just missed a lot of sand though. 3.gif Nothing to see here... Move along. Except the mysterious power reading, I reckon...

    Update 50: Lauren Ahrns

    October 21st, 0155AL

    galesfe495gn6.jpg

ronulvn5.jpgColonel Yelslew: Once we enter the fort we will search the immediate area for a sign of what is creating the energy signature, and if we don't find anything, we will split up into two groups of three and continue searching.

    liljs3.jpg Captain Thobe: Yes, sir!

    bradfv9.jpgBrad: Okay.

    galesfe503zg7.jpg

They entered the main section of the fort, and after looking around Colonel Yelslew, Marikalf, and Tifalka continued off into the fort, while Brad, Brian, and Captain Thobe went toward the center with the GS-1's life signs and energy detector. After traveling down a narrow hallway, they find a wooden board propped up against the wall, and behind it they see stairs leading to an underground room.

brianvy2.jpgBrian: The scanner says the power source is down there somewhere, should we call the others?

    liljs3.jpg Captain Thobe: Yes.

    bradfv9.jpgBrad: *on transmitter* Colonel Yelslew?

    blankqw1.jpg Colonel Yelslew: Yes?

bradfv9.jpgBrad: We found an entrance to an underground section of the fort, and the scanner says the power source is most likely down there.

blankqw1.jpg Colonel Yelslew: Where are you?

bradfv9.jpgBrad: The same section of the fort where we entered, in a hallway on the first floor near the center of the fort.

blankqw1.jpg Colonel Yelslew: We'll be right there.

    galesfe502pf1.jpg

As they walk down the stairs, the walls go from stone to metal, and at the bottom it vaguely resembled the RDPM.

brianvy2.jpgBrian: It is getting harder to scan down here, I think the walls must be doing something with the scanner.

They traveled down a hallway and took a right at the first room, which was full of control panels and other equipment.

    liljs3.jpg Captain Thobe: Dusty

tifalkafu5.jpg Tifalka: It looks like whoever was here collected this from other planets, as there are several different designs of stuff here.

bradfv9.jpgBrad: How did it get in here, anyway? Some of this stuff looks too big to fit down the stairs, and we didn't find any other entrances.

    marikalfek6.jpgMarikalf: Maybe there's a secret entrance somewhere.

They walk over to a shelf where there are several smaller objects, including a object that looked like a group of dark yellow crystals fused together along with several greenish ones, a metallic box with several wires coming out of one end, and several large, clear crystals.

    blankqw1.jpg Voice: Looking for something?

    galesfe494kc4.jpg

They turned around to see a muphridian wearing a black dress standing in the doorway who was staring at them.

laurende9.jpg Muphridian: I said, are you looking for something?

ronulvn5.jpgColonel Yelslew: We didn't know this place was occupied.

laurende9.jpg Muphridian: Yes, the area underground is shielded.

brianvy2.jpgBrian: But we detected a power signature here.

laurende9.jpg Muphridian: I was working on one of my hyperdrives, its been acting funny recently. Oh, and I'm Lauren Ahrns.

bradfv9.jpgBrad: I'm Brad Meiring, that is Brian Meiring, Captain Thobe, Tifalka Parcholv, Marikalf Parcholv, and Colonel Yelslew.

laurende9.jpg Lauren Ahrns: How did you get here?

liljs3.jpg Captain Thobe: We came through the stargate.

    laurende9.jpg Lauren: The stargate?

brianvy2.jpgBrian: Its a big ring-shaped device that lets you travel to other planets.

laurende9.jpg Lauren: I know what it is, I just though no one would come here though it, I thought they would just go back though after finding nothing but desert as far as they could see.

tifalkafu5.jpg Tifalka: We came in a ship though the gate.

    laurende9.jpg Lauren: Oh.

marikalfek6.jpgMarikalf: Why are you way out in the desert?

laurende9.jpg Lauren: I need large open spaces for some of the thing I do here.

    bradfv9.jpgBrad: Which is?

laurende9.jpg Lauren: Ship building and testing. I also sometimes explore abandon planets, that's where all the stuff in this room came from.

ronulvn5.jpgColonel Yelslew: We have to go, it is getting close to the time to check in with the RDPM.

laurende9.jpg Lauren: You can come back if you want, I don't mind, as long as you aren't with the Dlorwani in any way.

liljs3.jpg Captain Thobe: No, we aren't. They don't like use too much, in fact.

laurende9.jpg Lauren: You must be from Myon.

bradfv9.jpgBrad: How did you know that?

laurende9.jpg Lauren: The last time I was exploring you part of the galaxy I ran across a small Dlorwani ship and they attacked, so I destroyed it, and from what I could find in the remains of the ships computers, it was looking for Myon. Besides, that is the only planet that has humans and Muphridians on it that i know of.

    bradfv9.jpgBrad: Oh.

ronulvn5.jpgColonel Yelslew: I am going to check in, you can continue talking.

    brianvy2.jpgBrian: Okay.

    galesfe401gt7.jpg

    sgtvarmongc8.jpgSergeant Varmon: Incoming wormhole!

    genkarotashokj8.jpgGeneral Karotasho: Any IDC?

sgtvarmongc8.jpgSergeant Varmon: No, but we receiving a communication signal, audio only.

    genkarotashokj8.jpgGeneral Karotasho: Put it on.

blankqw1.jpg Receiver: This is Colonel Yelslew reporting for the scheduled report time.

genkarotashokj8.jpgGeneral Karotasho: Am I correct in thinking that you have found something?

blankqw1.jpg Colonel Yelslew: Yes, there is an underground facility run by a muphridian named Lauren Ahrns. She says we can come back, and I think we could get her to help in the fight against the Dlorwani, she already doesn't like them.

genkarotashokj8.jpgGeneral Karotasho: Good, I will send DPM-1 over once they are done with their mission, if you are done there you should come back, DPM-1 is more qualified at working out alliances other types of diplomacy.

    blankqw1.jpg Colonel Yelslew: Yes, sir.

    Comments:

Schulmanator: No I don't think there is a Kwik-E-Mart in there...

crushedcar, Marvin, pipishere, zelgadis: Thanks for the comments!

    Update 51: Galesfe Spaceport

nickpd5.jpgNick: First, an announcement from someone named Leech. He says,--

nikkiyd6.jpgNikki: "Sorry for the delay, there has been too much going on."

nickpd5.jpgNick: Nikki, why do you keep doing that?

    nikkiyd6.jpgNikki: Because I can.

nickpd5.jpgNick: Lets just get on with the update.

    galesfe511lx9.jpg

nikkiyd6.jpgNikki: Here is the main entrance, it connects directly to the highway system through a large underground parking lot.

nickpd5.jpgNick: There is also a transporter system down there, too.

    galesfe512ld2.jpg

nickpd5.jpgNick: Just the regular terminal area, for flights to other parts of the planet.

nikkiyd6.jpgNikki: They seem to be growing two plant varieties at that farm.

nickpd5.jpgNick: The runway is just below the edge of the picture.

    galesfe513kn3.jpg

    nikkiyd6.jpgNikki: Spaceships!

nickpd5.jpgNick: This area is for first class passengers, for travel to other planets.

    galesfe514gc5.jpg

nickpd5.jpgNick: A PC-3, the newest Myonian passenger ship, made by Khatak.

    galesfe515xq6.jpg

nickpd5.jpgNick: And this is the freight and second class passenger terminal for travel to other planets.

nikkiyd6.jpgNikki: And the rear end of a CS-2.

    galesfe516zo0.jpg

    nikkiyd6.jpgNikki: Who is Tau Kinematik?

nickpd5.jpgNick: It's a Zanapolis company. These ships offer cheaper travel.

    galesfe517jx8.jpg

nickpd5.jpgNick: And they also come in a cargo version.

    galesfe518yv9.jpg

nikkiyd6.jpgNikki: The CS-2 storage area. Their names are the Valmal, the Larkon, and the McKenzie. We don't know which one is which, though.

    galesfe519se8.jpg

nickpd5.jpgNick: The AF-17, the fighters used in the CS-2s.

    galesfe5110ht2.jpg

nikkiyd6.jpgNikki: The AF-12, the fighters used in the CS-1s, and on the planet.

    galesfe5111lc7.jpg

nickpd5.jpgNick: This is the main transportation used to get from one part of the spaceport to another. It looks oddly similar to what the Dlorwani use...

    galesfe5112qb7.jpg

    nikkiyd6.jpgNikki: Farms!

nickpd5.jpgNick: Here is about the only area where large farming areas are available, because not may people what to live next to the spaceport.

    galesfe5113lt1.jpg

nikkiyd6.jpgNikki: Looks like someone doesn't like him very much so they put something in their field so stuff would grow more in places... Zaza is Zukish for stupid.

    galesfe5114wc9.jpg

nickpd5.jpgNick: Just an overview of the area.

    galesfe5115uh3.jpg

    nikkiyd6.jpgNikki: Overview... at night.

    Comments:

zelgadis: A what? I could add some flesh-eating something somewhere...

Schulmanator: A tip: Bring lots of water and plenty of sunblock, its a long hike.

crushedcar, Marvin: Thanks for the comments!

That some cool facilities - and some creative ways to use existing lots to make a cool looking new structure. I wonder how it would be riding around in those tubes: kinda like a waterpark tube thing or more like the tubes at the bank drive thru window. Either way, I think it would be fun!

    Update 52: Galesfe Countryside

    nikkiyd6.jpgNikki: Renmalnë again?

    nickpd5.jpgNick: No, its Merksu!

    nikkiyd6.jpgNikki: Renmalnë is still here.

    galesfe521tm4.jpg

    nickpd5.jpgNick: Just some farms.

    galesfe522rn9.jpg

nikkiyd6.jpgNikki: Someone can't keep their cows inside the fence.

nickpd5.jpgNick: The fenced off area that the cows somehow got into is part of Galesfe Spaceport, and connects to the end of the runway.

    galesfe523yd9.jpg

nickpd5.jpgNick: And this is the small town of Merksu, not Renmalnë.

    galesfe524cw9.jpg

nickpd5.jpgNick: The main highway interchange for the entrance to the spaceport.

nikkiyd6.jpgNikki: Not many cars there now.

    galesfe525mu6.jpg

    nikkiyd6.jpgNikki: Renmalnë!

nickpd5.jpgNick: Yes, this is a small part of Renmalnë, just south of the suburb's power and water facilities in a previous update.

    Comments:

Schulmanator: Probably more like the bank tubes

crushedcar, zelgadis, Marvin: Thanks for the comments!

Nice little town. I hope wayward cows don't interfere too much with the spaceport. I suppose if the cows had ion propulsion engines instead of grass combustion enhines that they would be welcome at the space port!
