The first game that I recall playing was Pac Man for the Atari 2600. So I cut my teeth on the 2600 before my cousin got the NES then just kept moving up from there!!!

Besides SC4 I really haven't played too many games on a computer. I have Civ IV for my Mac but my Mac is broken at the moment (one should not step on their computer, just sayin). I've tried The Sim on a computer, but it's too much. I prefer playing The Sims on the play station. Oh when I have a few minutes at work I will play some Free Cell on the computer but that's about it.

I remember I had an old second(5th hand)-hand me down Commodore 64 but I cannot recall the names of any games.

The first game I bought was built into my Sega Master System III console. Sonic the Hedgehog. So many hours lost but still my mom finished the game before I did. Our relationship never completely recovered (:D)

If I remember correctly, my first gaming experience was in 1989 (I was 5 years old) with Atari 2600 ;)

"If you try to please everybody, you often times end up pleasing nobody, especially yourself. When somebody offers to do a favor for free, like making a mod for SimCity 4, you shouldn't be overly critical of something generously given to you. In other words, you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth." - Twilight Sparkle after playing SimCity

"Being a mayor or a content creator for SimCity 4 is a heavy responsibility, Patrick. Each city and each custom content is like a child, and must be treated as such." - SpongeBob Squarepants after playing SimCity

"Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible." - Frank Zappa

"The wisest men follow their own direction." - Euripides

"Nibbles" and "Gorillas" anyone?    :D

Seriously though, the first game I recall playing was Super Hang-On, a arcademachine roughly designed like a real motorbike. It was the end of the eighties, I was seven or eight years old.

When I bough my own computer some years later, I simultaneously got Rick Dangerous 2 and The Cycles:International Grand Prix Racing, and a little bit later The Games:Winter edition

Some other games:

Ports of Call marine businesssimulator

SimCity, needs no explanation, I assume?

Street Rod 2 ,buy, tune, race for the pink slip

Stunts revolutionary 3D racer with amazing (yet quirky) physics, track-editor and a replay function

Lotus III Another racer with Brittish sportscars, some great tunes here

When I bought my second pc in the end of the nineties I played Delta Force(tactical shooter), Heroes of Might and Magic III(turnbased strategy) , Swat 3(yet another tactical shooter), Fifa, some NFS titles and a lot of crap.

Then I moved for my studies, but bought myself a Gameboy Advance with some Sonic games and some Capcom RPGs...

These days If I play (and something else than SC4 :P ), I mostly play on my PS3 system. It came bundled with Gran Turismo 5 wich I rarely play. However I do play Motorstorm 1&2, Red dead Redeamption and Ghost Recon:Future Soldier.

Edit: I see I forgot titles like Theme hospital, RCT and Railroad Tycoon 3, but I can't list them all either...

The first console game that I actually got (as opposed to playing at a friend's house) was the original Crash Bandicoot. (Sonic the Hedgehog counting at a friend's house) I also got Need for Speed 3 Hot Pursuit at the same time as Crash Bandicoot, but I played Crash first... then switching over to Need for Speed after I failed to get though the first level... I don't think I've ever made it all the way though the first Crash game without cheats or save states... (Or at least gotten 100% without them...)

First game on the computer, I don't know. Troggle Trouble Math, maybe? There was also a game where you could make your own map and then drive though it, and some roller coaster builder that let you fold the track back on itself, where I liked to make a part where the coaster goes around in a circle on the same bit of track multiple times, but I don't remember what those games were called.

My first game is Contra/Super Mario I believe, on my red/white NES. I was 4 at the time.

Then every Nintendo console except the GBPocket and the VBoy. Started PC gaming around 1993 (original SimCity/Farm/Earth!).

Can't remember the game, but it was little white dots on a small screen that you were able to race with each other. That was before Pacman and my first experience with a computer, sometime around 1980.

But I started actual "Playing" only with Simcity, the first one.

Probably a few Atari 2600 games even though it was already pretty old when I was born.

Pokemon FireRed (even though I'd been a fan for a few years), along with FIFA 06. I first played SC4 when I was about 7 or 8 (so '05ish) leisurely, although I understood nothing, and knew nothing of ST either. :P
