I tried downloading Plop A Shop Pack 1, and I get an error message in WinRAR, and it will not open in WinZip either. Any ideas? If this has been posted already, my apologies.

It appears a couple of the packs have gotten corrupted somehow.  I'm not sure how.  The STEX is not responfing right now, so I will try to re-upload the bad ones tomorrow.

yeah, I was in NDEX, and people were saying that their files were corrupted as well, it's a big STEX problem

Please report any corrupt files, from anyone, to Dirk.  There is a glitch in the STEX, and many have been corrupted.  He has a backup of everything, so it is easy to correct; it's just not easy to tell which are ok and which are not.

Hi SG. First of all, I want to say that I'm a big fan of your BATs and lots. I was working with your Plop-a-Shop set and I got an idea. Usually, when I see stores like these, they are part of a strip mall that usually bends at least once, and there is a store that fits into that corner. I was thinking that if you were to make a some more packs of these, you should do one that plops inner corner buildings and one that plops outer corner buildings. I took a picture in my city to give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

I just put some parks in the corner that I'm talking about, but I'd love to have a store there that wouldn't break up the continuous look. The only problem, the way it is, it wouldn't really be possible to have front road access. But that could be solved by running a road behind them like I did. Also, a corner piece would make a nice end piece.

I didn't take a pic of the outer corner situation, but I'm sure you get the idea.

So what do you think? Good idea?

Simgoober, I am a huge fan of your stuff! I am having a problem finding your Farms PropPak which contains farm buildings for use in many farm lots on the exchange. For example, right now I have a region with William's Rose Farm and others, but the buildings show up as large boxes. I have searched the exchange and other sites, but can not find the file. Could you help me locate it? Thanks! Again, big fan!

For the farm buildings, PM BarbyW, she worked on those.  I honestly forget where the prop pack is, I think it was included with the first lot in the series.

 

I have considered a corner version, just haven't liked the way the first attempt came out.  After looking at your picture, I might have an idea though.  I'll look at it again.

 

I've been pretty busy with RW lately, but I have finally gotten the Opera House rendered.  I am still working on the lot, and then I need to do all the modding I have in mind.  But here is a picture of the work in progress.  I must say I've impressed myself a little on this one...

Hey SG I love your stuff! Everything always looks awesome, but I have a problem,  anytime one of your lots grow in my cities they don't show the parking lot texture, just grass and it really bothers me. Is there a dependancy I am missing?

i have an idea, create a more controllable plop a shop pack, so if you whant one store you don't get the other, and so you have more contol over what you whant to be built.

Be sure to look carefully at the PEG overlay pack.  It has a zip inside the aip for some reason.  Unzip them both, and you have the parking lot textures.

Well I downloaded all the texture and prop packs and I have the updates from simcity.com but I still have missing base textures and giant simcity.com boxes.

Fabulous work SimGoober! If you do decide to make the Westin Peachtree Plaza, maybe you'll make the Marriott Renaissance Center (or part of it) which is very similar. Just an addition to another suggestion...
