Frontier City (Update 4.9 - Current Projects)

Hey Everyone, Just noticed there was a separate section for city journals just for just cities skylines on here, and thought, I'd post mine here as well as in the community journal section. I see a few other people doing this. Here are a few city overview shots. Please be aware I am a city painter in training, so some of my work could definitely be improved upon. I just started playing this game at the end of October. Any constructive criticism is greatly appreciated. Anyway here are the pics of Frontier City. A large mountain town built on an alpine lake between the peaks. I've been working on this city the past few months, started it from scratch, which includes the making of the map. Downtown Frontier City viewed from across a small section of Blue Gill Lake. My goal is a region of approximately 60k to 75k. Frontier City will contain roughly two thirds of the population, with the remaining in small satellite towns and rural residential developments. Another shot of downtown looking towards the south. The skyline you see is likely as big as the buildings are going to get. As I mentioned before I am going for realism, and towns of the 60 to 75k size generally do not have many skyscrapers if any. Even with the buildings I have, they still might be a little bit too much for a town this size. Same area just a better shot showing the small downtown lakefront. Frontier City is built on a small inlet of Blue Gill Lake. The main lake is not shown, only a small part to the upper right of the image.
